In various games, seasonal weapons have long been a popular feature, serving to engage players with fresh content and offer unique rewards. For instance, Destiny 2’s Psychopomp grenade launcher in the Heresy mission is highly sought after due to its powerful Area-Denial frame and impressive perk combinations. Since The Witch Queen expansion, Bungie has been adding multiple craftable weapons with each update. While these weapons are beneficial, Destiny 2 has shifted away from them post Episode Echoes. Consequently, one Season Pass reward may no longer be as relevant or valuable.

Destiny 2’s Deepsight Harmonizer May Have to Face The Reaper

As a gamer, I remember the excitement when Deepsight Harmonizers first appeared as part of the Season Pass. These unique items were only obtainable through the Pass and nowhere else in the game, which sparked quite a debate among players back then. They could be used to upgrade weapons that had a crafting pattern, instantly turning them into red-border guns – a significant advantage that made getting certain patterns much less of a hassle or frustrating grind.

However, with Destiny 2 shifting away from crafting almost entirely, it’s hard to justify why these Harmonizers are still part of the Season Pass. It’s even more puzzling because they can’t be stored for future use beyond holding five units at a time.

In the game, Deepsight Harmonizers are in a difficult situation as they are essential for players trying to catch up, but seem unnecessary in Season Passes now. Bungie might consider allowing them to be exchanged for resources at vendors like Banshee-44 or Master Rahool, and provide better rewards within the Season Pass instead. Furthermore, even when used for Raid weapons, Deepsight Harmonizers demand an extra 15 Spoils of Conquest, meaning they can’t be utilized independently.

How Destiny 2 Can Replace Deepsight Harmonizers With Spoils

In other words, it seems reasonable to suggest that the game should swap out Deepsight Harmonizers with Spoils of Conquest, an extremely valuable in-game resource. This move might stir up debate because these items are typically only found in Destiny 2’s Raids. However, the positive impact would likely overshadow this issue, as it could motivate players to participate in Raids, thereby gaining access to more weapons. This strategy makes sense given that players can purchase weapons at the end of a Raid, with the possibility of them being high-tier red-border drops.

If no other methods prove successful, the benefits of the Spoils of Conquest remain advantageous for all players. Casual Raid participants can expect a larger stockpile when they do join in, making it easier for them to acquire desired weapons. Regular Raid players will reap even greater rewards, enabling them to complete their collections at a quicker pace. Moreover, those who abstain from Raids entirely can still utilize Spoils in Destiny 2’s Monument of Lost Lights to buy past Raid Exotics and various other items. In essence, this scenario would prove beneficial for Bungie, and swapping Deepsight Harmonizers could be a fair move as we approach Frontiers; however, whether or not this will transpire is yet to be determined.
