Why Your Horse Won’t Sprint in Crimson Desert (& How to Heal It)

If your horse in Crimson Desert suddenly stops sprinting, it likely needs to recover its health. Horses can take damage from falls after failed jumps or even accidental hits from your weapon – just like your character. Fortunately, there are several ways to restore your horse’s health in Crimson Desert.

How to Heal Your Horse Mount in Crimson Desert

Healing Force Palm

If your horse is having trouble sprinting, try using Kliff’s Healing Force Palm. To do this, hold down the right stick to charge your regular Palm Force, and then a prompt will appear on the screen asking you to hold the left stick to activate the Healing Force Palm. Aim this attack at your horse to heal it. It might look like you’re hitting your horse, but it’s actually a healing technique!

Feed Your Horse / Visit a Stable

Crimson Desert features seven stables where you can care for your horses. Most players will likely find the Hernand Stable first – it’s located just northwest of the Hernand Royal Trading Post, as shown in the pictures.

Talk to the character with the horseshoe symbol to purchase and care for horses. Once you’ve done that, your horse will automatically be fully healed. In Hernand, the stable master’s name is Merton!

You can buy horse food – like hay, sugar cubes, and sugar beets – from the local saddlery in this area. After you buy some, add it to your inventory and then place it in front of your horse to let it eat. Be aware that other nearby horses might try to steal the food!

After your horse eats, it’ll be ready to run and continue your journey through the Crimson Desert.

You can find more helpful horse information in Crimson Desert, including guides on horse care, collecting all legendary horses, and obtaining horse plate armor.
