Initially, we didn’t anticipate Escape from Tarkov would incorporate a battle pass or traditional season structure, but that might be changing soon. Specifically, Escape from Tarkov: Arena, the session-based multiplayer arena shooter, is planning to introduce a battle pass system complete with cosmetics and skins. Over the past few days, Battlestate Games has been hinting at this development on social media.
In their latest tweet, gamers get a sneak peek at the popular CQCM Mask. This mask is particularly loved by the aggressive “W-key spamming Chads” in the game and they now have the chance to sport a unique, custom skin for it.
It starts with Arena – will it bleed into Escape from Tarkov proper?
Geared Up
In Escape from Tarkov: Arena, the forthcoming battle pass is anticipated to function as expected. Players will be rewarded with unique items, cosmetics, and enhancements by earning experience points through rigorous gameplay. As you spend more time playing, additional rewards will be unlocked.
Indeed, as affirmed by Nikita Buyanov from Battlestate Games just two days ago, that’s exactly what I stated – it’s free!
In other words, “Escape from Tarkov: Arena” is not a complimentary game; you will have to make a payment because it’s a separate edition derived from the original survival-shooter game titled “Escape from Tarkov.
Here’s the post on social media that revealed a snippet of the CQCM skin:

Users are currently pondering how a potential cross-over might affect the broader Escape from Tarkov game community. Is there going to be a feature that enables players to use their skins and cosmetics on the Escape from Tarkov extraction shooter platform? I, personally, am hoping it does. For years, I’ve yearned for more customization options in Tarkov for my gear.
Escape from Tarkov follows a cycle of “wipes,” which occur approximately every six months and reset the game. Transitioning to a seasonal structure with a battle pass-like feature is an option, but it’s a significant undertaking for developer BSG because they would need to provide ample content for it to be engaging. Since it takes several months just to add a single new weapon, this demand might be too large and could go unfulfilled.
