As someone who’s been through the trenches of Call of Duty multiplayer since Modern Warfare 2, I must admit, I’ve amassed quite the collection of Double XP Tokens from my time spent in MW3. The question on everyone’s mind is whether these tokens will carry over to Black Ops 6 or not.
If you find yourself in a similar situation as mine, you’d likely amassed a good number of Double XP Tokens in Modern Warfare 3. Consequently, you might be debating whether to utilize them immediately or hold onto them until the release of Black Ops 6.
Here’s everything we know about whether you will keep your Double XP Tokens from MW3 in Black Ops 6 and its Warzone integration.
Will Double XP Tokens sync across MW3 & Black Ops 6?
It appears that there hasn’t been an official announcement about it yet, but it seems unlikely that Black Ops 6 will reset your Double XP Tokens upon launch.
Since Black Ops 6 is an entirely fresh Call of Duty title that stands alone from Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3, it’s reasonable to expect a different setup. Unlike its predecessors, which shared weapons, cosmetic items, and additional content through the Carry Forward feature, Treyarch has confirmed that this won’t apply to Black Ops 6.
ActivisionBlack Ops 6 will provide a completely separate multiplayer experience from MW3.In Modern Warfare 2 (MW2) and Modern Warfare 3 (MW3), it was the first time Call of Duty games could transfer Double XP Tokens between them. Given that Black Ops 6 will be resetting player inventories, we don’t anticipate these tokens from previous games to be carried over.
Players who haven’t experienced Modern Warfare 3 might find themselves at a disadvantage in Black Ops 6 if experience points (XP) were transferable, since it would give an edge to those who have already played and collected XP tokens. Therefore, it seems fairer for everyone to start on equal terms, considering some players have amassed quite a significant collection of XP tokens over time.
Will Double XP Tokens carry over to Warzone after Black Ops 6 integration?
In a simple and conversational way: For Black Ops 6, it looks like there will be a unique collection of tokens all its own. On the other hand, Warzone will incorporate all the tokens amassed during MW2, MW3, and BO6. If the slate is reset with Warzone Season 1, players would forfeit any extra experience points they’ve purchased and earned through Battle Passes.
