As a long-time fan of captivating anime series, I eagerly anticipate the upcoming second season of “My Happy Marriage.” With its enchanting blend of romance, mystery, and supernatural elements, this show has always held a special place in my heart.

Shojo anime are highly favored, particularly by female viewers, yet they often lack extended runs with numerous episodes. Therefore, news of a second season for a cherished shojo series is always delightful. This applies to “My Happy Marriage“, which will commence its second season on January 6, 2025.

In the next chapter of “My Happy Marriage“, we’ll delve deeper into Kiyoka and Miyo’s love story as they grow more intimate, gaining insights about their true selves. Initially reserved, Kiyoka starts to reveal more of himself, shedding his aloof character from the first season. Conversely, Miyo will uncover a mysterious new power – the ability to see dreams.

Meeting The Parents

Miyo and Kiyoka Are Introduced To Each Other’s Family

In the first series of “My Happy Marriage”, Miyo Saitori emerges from a distinguished magical lineage, yet lacks any magical abilities herself. Following her mother’s demise, she endured mistreatment at the hands of her stepmother for quite some time. Eventually, Miyo becomes betrothed to Kiyoka Kudo. However, there are many unanswered questions about his history, as each previous fiancée abandoned him out of terror. Yet, as Miyo spends more time with Kiyoka, she discovers that things might not be quite as they appear.

In the upcoming second season set for release in January 2025, a fresh trailer reveals Miyo emerging from a troubling dream involving Kiyoka, which makes her understand she has a unique dream-seeing talent, and she is the world’s sole bearer of this power. Upon meeting Kiyoka’s kindly father and cold mother, she resolves to employ her newfound abilities to earn their acceptance and believe she can contribute to them. Kiyoka’s mother, in particular, is harsh towards Miyo, and it appears that Miyo aims to avoid repeating the dynamics of her own family life at home.

As Miyo embarks on her new journey, she may initially find it challenging due to her novel life and powers. However, Kiyoka will be there to offer comfort and support throughout the process. In fact, Kiyoka is prepared to put herself in harm’s way if necessary, ensuring Miyo’s husband is safeguarded and Miyo can utilize her abilities for his benefit. Towards the conclusion of this sneak peek, viewers will witness a figure claiming to be Miyo’s father, Naoshi Usui – head of the Gifted Communion – making an ominous appearance. Regardless of the hurdles they encounter, this season will demonstrate Miyo and Kiyoka working together to conquer these challenges while deepening their bond.
