The elimination method can be varied depending on the nature of the tournament. In the Hunger Games movie series, it’s all about killing each other. In Wistoria: Wand and Sword, however, if a participant surrenders or is unconscious, they are eliminated.

A Much More Determined Will Serfort

Initially, over the first three episodes, Will Serfort exhibits two contrasting personas. During his academic pursuits or casual strolls around the Academy, he appears soft-spoken and uncomplaining, even on challenging days. Conversely, when engaged in combat within the dungeon, he transforms into a relentless, focused swordsman, showing no fear against seemingly terrifying creatures.

In episode 4, Will displays an unexpected aggressive side when he confronts Julius and his gang. This anger-fueled persona intensifies in episode 5, as the timid and compliant Will we once knew is nowhere to be found. Instead, a resolute young man takes center stage, willing to go to any lengths to bring down his adversary and secure an apology. He disregards the opinions of others and remains unwavering in his pursuit, ready to trample over all obstacles if needed.

A Prideful Sion Ulster

In the story, it’s not just Will who gets to reveal a different aspect of himself; Sion Ulster, the skilled mage, also undergoes significant character development.
