The reunion between Will Serfort and Elfie in Season 2, Episode 7 of Wistoria: Wand and Sword is being postponed again due to new challenges separating them. Instead of continuing his journey to find Elfie and fulfill his promise, this episode focuses on Will needing to prove himself to Kreutz Harlon at the Upper Institute, as the Magia Vander have already approved of him.
As a huge fan of Wistoria: Wand and Sword, I was honestly really frustrated with Kreutz Harlon’s recent choices regarding Will Serfort. It felt so unnecessary, and it reminded me way too much of Professor Edward constantly meddling with Will back in his school days. Honestly, if this keeps happening, I worry it’s going to divide the fanbase – some of us are really invested in seeing how things develop naturally, while others might start feeling like the story is just stalling and not going anywhere.
Will Serfort Misses His Chance to Enter a Magia Vander Faction in the First Bloom
Defeating Multiple Zoctonia Isn’t Enough for Will to Reach Elfie
Okay, I was totally shocked during Season 2, Episode 7 of Wistoria: Wand and Sword! Kreutz Harlon really threw a wrench into things by refusing to accept Will Serfort into the Magia Vander’s tower. It was a huge twist! Suddenly, Kreutz is the main one doubting Will, taking over that role from Edward. And to make things even more dramatic, Kreutz changed the rules of the First Bloom – that whole pruning ceremony just got a lot more complicated!
Despite Will Serfort’s impressive feat of single-handedly defeating several Zoctonia and receiving offers from the Magia Vander, Kreutz Harlon continues to hinder Will’s advancement. This is unusual because the Magia Vander, similar to Elfie, should logically have more power than Kreutz when it comes to making decisions. While Elfie possesses the influence and capabilities to sway the outcome, Kreutz’s authority somehow overrides even that.
Things got really tricky for me when I had to deal with a fresh wave of monsters created by the Upper Institute. This time, Kreutz sent in two Worz Oozes – these gooey things are practically immune to anything but magic, and, well, I’m completely powerless when it comes to spells. My brand-new sword? Totally useless against them! It’s becoming clear Kreutz Harlon is deliberately trying to separate me from the other High Mages, and I have a really bad feeling it’s all part of some twisted experiment he’s running.
Will Serfort Must Rely on Magic to Defeat the Wors Oozes
Will Serfort Can’t Rely on Borrowed Magic Again
Wors Oozes are the complete opposite of the powerful creatures Kreutz Harlon created for the First Bloom. These oozes are weak, low-level dungeon monsters easily defeated by even simple magic. They’re a perfect match against Will Serfort, who only fights with physical attacks. No matter how hard Will swings his sword, the oozes’ liquid bodies aren’t harmed. Even their center is liquid, meaning Will has no way to actually defeat them.
Despite Will’s repeated failures to defeat the Worz Oozes, Kreutz Harlon and the other High Mages decide to let him fall short. However, a Second Bloom is scheduled for the following week, giving Will Serfort another chance to prove himself. To earn his way back to Elfaria after the Second Bloom, he needs to rethink his strategy and discover a way to fight the Worz Oozes with magic. This time, failure isn’t acceptable, and Will Serfort must overcome the challenge and improve.
Will Serfort Gears Up for the Second Bloom
Julius Assists Will Serfort in Training His Wis
The Second Bloom is a rare event that allows those without a designated faction – like the colorless gloria – to receive blessings and join one of the tower’s groups. Normally happening every six months, it’s been moved to just a week after the first bloom because of the recent Terminalia incident. This is Will Serfort’s last chance to join the Ice Faction of Elfaria, reconnect with his friends, and continue his climb up the tower.
Julius offering help to Will Serfort adds a layer of complexity, because his support might not be entirely sincere and could jeopardize Will’s success in the Second Bloom. While it’s wise to be cautious given Julius’s history, it’s best to hope he’s truly changed and is now genuinely trying to help. The next episode of Wistoria: Wand and Sword, titled Teachings of the Witch, will be released on May 31, 2026.
