With Reveal Imminent, More Intel Arc Battlemage Details Leak

As a seasoned gaming enthusiast with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the latest Intel Arc Battlemage graphics cards have certainly piqued my interest. The leaked specifications for the Intel Arc B580 are nothing short of intriguing, especially with its 12GB GDDR6 memory and speeds of 19GBps on a 192-bit memory bus. I’ve seen enough graphics cards in my time to know that these numbers can translate into some serious gaming power.

It appears that the upcoming Intel Arc Battlemage graphics cards may be about to break cover, as additional specifications and details keep surfacing.

New information has emerged about the Intel Arc B580 graphics card, as leaked data from Geekbench (thanks to Tomasz Gawronski) reveals additional specifications. It appears that this model will now boast 12GB of GDDR6 memory, with speeds of 19GBps on a 192-bit memory bus.

The leak shows the Intel Arc B580 will have 160 compute units or 20 Xe2 cores. That’s less total cores than the 24 Xe cores from the Arc A580, but with the new-generation cores, it leads to better performance. The Geekbench leak also reaffirmed the aforementioned reveal that the graphics card will have 12GB of VRAM and a clock speed of 2850 MHz (2.8GHz).

Regarding performance, the Geekbench leak doesn’t provide extensive insights since the graphics card was evaluated in its OpenCL test. This type of assessment doesn’t accurately predict gaming performance. Moreover, it’s premature to rely on such tests for a reliable comparison between the new mid-range card and the last-gen Arc A580, as we are yet to see significant improvements over the previous generation.

Intel has declined to comment on the leaks or reports of a reveal in December.
