World of Warcraft will add Shadowlands Timewalking with Patch 11.2.7, and a new event called Turbulent Timeways. These Timewalking activities will be available in the last update for World of Warcraft: The War Within on December 2.
With Patch 11.1.7, WoW at last included Battle for Azeroth in the Timewalking expansion lineup. This followed the addition of Classic Timewalking during the 20th anniversary event in Patch 11.0.5. To mark this special moment, World of Warcraft also launched a new Turbulent Timeways event, highlighting the new dungeons and the rewards you can earn.
Shadowlands Timewalking and Turbulent Timeways in World of Warcraft Patch 11.2.7
Blizzard is bringing back this popular event with Patch 11.2.7. The in-game calendar for the World of Warcraft: Midnight alpha shows December 2nd as the starting date for a new Turbulent Timeways event, lasting 10 weeks. Notably, this event will introduce Shadowlands Timewalking, meaning several dungeons from the 2020 expansion will be added to the rotation permanently.
The dungeons featured in the upcoming Shadowlands Timewalking event haven’t been officially announced yet. However, information found through datamining indicates that The Necrotic Wake, Spires of Ascension, Plaguefall, Halls of Atonement, De Other Side, and Sanguine Depths are likely to be included. The event schedule doesn’t list a Timewalking raid, so it’s unlikely one will be added this time around.
Just like past Turbulent Timeways events in WoW, this one will quickly cycle through all the Timewalking expansions over 10 weeks, in a random order, beginning and ending with Shadowlands. Besides the usual Timewalking content, you can run Timewalking dungeons during the event to gain up to a 30% experience bonus with the Mastery of the Timeways buff. If you earn this buff for 5 out of the 10 weeks, you’ll get the Master of the Turbulent Timeways achievement, which gives you a voucher to choose one of four Shadowlands-themed mount rewards. The remaining mounts will likely be available to buy using Timewarped Badges.

Patch 11.2.7 promises to be a big update! Besides the Turbulent Timeways, World of Warcraft is adding early access to Player Housing. It also includes the Pandaren Heritage Armor questline, which connects the story leading into The War Within and Midnight, plus other content. Considering Legion Remix starts on October 7 in patch 11.2.5, World of Warcraft players can expect a very active rest of the year.
