World of Warcraft Is Collaborating With Pinterest and Zillow

World of Warcraft is teaming up with Pinterest and Zillow for fun, housing-focused events. Players can look forward to new features on external websites, in-game activities, and rewards to collect.

Despite introducing many significant new features, player homes have quickly become a favorite part of the World of Warcraft: Midnight expansion. Since its initial release in Patch 11.2.7, players have enjoyed the extensive customization options, easy-to-use design tools, and the huge variety of decorations available. Blizzard is already planning to add even more improvements to this popular feature in the future.

To further excite players about a popular feature, World of Warcraft is partnering with Pinterest and Zillow in a surprising move. Players will be able to share in-game photos taken with a new toy directly to their Pinterest boards. On Zillow, fans can explore a special World of Warcraft section featuring virtual home listings, interactive tours similar to Zillow’s SkyTours, and a free in-game decoration for their player homes.

World of Warcraft x Pinterest Collaboration Explained

The collaboration with Pinterest brings more in-game content to players. Starting February 18th around 10 AM PT, all World of Warcraft players will receive the Pin-o-Matic Camera, a new in-game toy. This camera lets you take screenshots and automatically share them on your connected Pinterest account. While it’s perfect for creating inspiration boards for your player housing, you’ll also be able to capture and share images from anywhere in the game on Pinterest.

Previous Housing previews have hinted at the possibility of using in-game screenshots as portraits to display in your homes. While this new partnership with Pinterest doesn’t currently offer that feature, the Pin-o-Matic Camera toy could be a first step towards allowing players to decorate with their own screenshots in World of Warcraft.

This isn’t the first time World of Warcraft has let players easily share in-game pictures on social media. Back during the Warlords of Draenor expansion, Blizzard added a feature that allowed players to share images, items, and achievements directly to Twitter. However, that feature was removed in 2023 due to changes Twitter made after Elon Musk bought the site.

World of Warcraft x Zillow Collaboration Explained

The partnership between World of Warcraft and Zillow is different from the Pinterest collaboration – it’s mostly about fun and promotion. Zillow has launched a special mini-site designed like the world of World of Warcraft, called Azeroth. You can explore interactive maps, take virtual tours of make-believe homes, and even see fictional real estate agents like Bek’tar Donhammar and Hazyl Fizzlehorn, complete with fake customer reviews. Plus, the winning design from the Azeroth Interiors Housing competition will be featured as a listing on the site.

I just checked out the World of Warcraft and Zillow collab, but the site is super busy right now! It looks like a lot of other fans are trying to get in too, so I might wait a bit before trying again to give things a chance to calm down.

Okay, so I checked out that World of Warcraft x Zillow website, and it’s pretty cool! But the best part is you get a free item just for visiting! If you connect your Battle.net account, you can snag a “Naturally Elegant Doormat” to decorate your house in WoW. Anyone with an account can get it, which is awesome. Just a heads-up though – you need to own World of Warcraft: Midnight if you actually want to have a house to put the doormat in!

If you’d like to buy more Naturally Elegant Doormats, you can find Tuuran in Stormwind and Gabbi in Orgrimmar at their respective Trading Posts.

World of Warcraft: Midnight launches on March 2nd. Players who purchased the Epic Edition will get to start playing a week early, on February 26th. Fans are now wondering what other exciting partnerships World of Warcraft will announce to build excitement for the next part of the Worldsoul Saga.
