Okay, so the big news is that the housing test is finally live in World of Warcraft on the PTR! But you gotta jump in quick – we only have less than 24 hours to mess around with it. The best part? You don’t even need the Dragonflight (Midnight) expansion to give it a try, which is awesome. I’m definitely logging in to check it all out before the test ends!
The latest update to *World of Warcraft*, Patch 11.2.7, titled “The Warning,” has arrived. This final update for *The War Within* expansion includes a lot of new content, including early access to the player housing feature that will be fully available in the *Midnight* expansion. While a test run of the housing feature was planned to coincide with the patch’s release on the Public Test Realm, an unforeseen problem has caused a delay, and a new date for the housing test hasn’t been announced.
World of Warcraft: Midnight PTR Housing Feature Test Dates
- October 16 at 11 AM PT through October 17 at 11 AM PT
Good news for *World of Warcraft* players! Blizzard announced on October 16th that the test for the new Housing feature would start immediately, running from 11 AM to 11 AM PDT on October 17th. As of today, the test is live, allowing players to experience the in-development housing system before it’s released for early access.
Players who want to try out the new Housing Feature Test need to jump in quickly. This time around, the test period is only 24 hours, much shorter than the previous 72-hour test in October. The test could end sooner or be extended, but players shouldn’t count on it.
To test the new Player Housing feature in *World of Warcraft*, you’ll first need a *WoW* account. Then, create a PTR account through the Games and Subscriptions section of your account settings. Next, in the Battle.net app, select *World of Warcraft* and choose “PTR (TWW 11.2.7)” from the drop-down menu to install the test client. The best part? You don’t need to buy *World of Warcraft: Midnight* or have an active subscription to try it out – it’s a free preview of the Housing feature!
Although it’s possible Blizzard could test the Housing feature again on the PTR before the 11.2.7 patch, there’s currently no indication they plan to. If not, players will have to wait until the Housing early access on December 2nd to try it out, and they’ll need to own the *Midnight* expansion to experience everything it offers.
