World of Warcraft is likely re-releasing several previously limited-time items from 2024, such as the Hateforged Blazecycle mount, through the Trading Post in Patch 12.0.5. This means players will get another opportunity to obtain items that were once only available in certain regions or required payment.
Blizzard often partners with other companies for special offers. For example, players of World of Warcraft can get a unique in-game pet, Gummi the Glow Wyrm, by buying certain Trolli candies. However, these promotions haven’t always been ideal – often they were only available in specific regions, had limited quantities, or required buying products that varied greatly in price, from cheap snacks to expensive gaming equipment.
Old Promo Items May Appear in WoW’s Trading Post in Patch 12.0.5
Good news for World of Warcraft players! It looks like some previously limited-time items will be available again soon. Recent updates to the game’s PTR suggest that items like Lil’ Flameo (originally from SteelSeries purchases), the Sand Scarab (a former World of Warcraft TCG reward and Twitch Drop), and the Hateforged Blazecycle (from the Mountain Dew promotion) will be added to the Trading Post, allowing players to purchase them with Trader’s Tender.
- Parrlok pet
- Original source: Discord Quest (August 2024)
- Trader’s Tender cost: 250
- Lil’ Flameo pet
- Original source: SteelSeries x WoW 20th Anniversary collab (September 2024)
- Trader’s Tender cost: 250
- Classic Sunny Tabard Transmog
- Original source: Kroger rewards program (September 2024)
- Trader’s Tender cost: 100
- Sand Scarab pet
- Original source: WoW Trading Card Game reward, Twitch Drop (October 2024)
- Trader’s Tender cost: 250
- Hateforged Blazecycle mount
- Original source: Mountain Dew x WoW 20th Anniversary collab (November 2024)
- Trader’s Tender cost: 500
If these items become available at the Trading Post for the prices shown, they should be reasonably priced. The Hateforged Blazecycle mount from the World of Warcraft x Mountain Dew promotion is listed for 500 Trader’s Tender, the pets cost 250 each, and the tabard is only 100.
We don’t have an official release date for these items in the Trading Post yet, and they might be released over several months, or even after the current patch. However, Blizzard has confirmed that past promotional items will eventually become available there, and these recent price listings hint that could happen soon. Players can likely expect more limited-time items to be added in the future.

This is a positive change for the World of Warcraft community. While limited-time offers can be fun, they often create pressure to spend money and can be upsetting for players in different regions. Scalpers also take advantage of these events by buying up items and reselling them at higher prices. With so many promotions happening in World of Warcraft currently, this new approach should reassure players that they’ll likely have another chance to get these items in the future.
