World of Warcraft Players Will Have To Wait a Little Longer to Try Player Housing

The test of the new Housing Feature on the Public Test Realm for World of Warcraft’s Patch 11.2.7 has been delayed due to some unforeseen problems. While Housing is still planned for the Patch 11.2.7 PTR, players will need to wait a little longer before they can test it out.

Blizzard recently announced Patch 11.2.7, called “The Warning,” for *World of Warcraft*. This is the last major update before the release of *The War Within* expansion and includes a new story chapter, the return of the Brawler’s Guild, and a first look at the player housing system. From October 13th to 16th, players will be able to test out the housing feature—even those who don’t currently have a *WoW* subscription.

Ugh, I was so excited for the WoW housing test on the PTR, but it’s been delayed! Blizzard just posted that something unexpected came up, so they had to cancel the early access test for now. It’s super disappointing, but they *did* say it’s not canceled forever – it’ll happen eventually. I’m still hoping we get to play around with it soon!

As of today, we don’t know the specific reason the test was cancelled, or when it will happen again. It might be back up and running within a few days, but it’s also possible it will be delayed by a week or more while the *World of Warcraft* team fixes the issues they found.

So, even though there’s been a bit of a hold-up, it doesn’t look like the official launch of Player Housing is going to be pushed back! We’re still on track for Patch 11.2.7 on December 2nd, which means those of us who own *Midnight* will finally get to start building our dream homes. The rest of the features, like Endeavors, will come a little later with the full *Midnight* expansion early next year. I’m so excited!

Players can still explore all the content available on the *World of Warcraft* Patch 11.2.7 Public Test Realm. This includes the Pandaren Heritage Quest, Brawler’s Guild, the Blood and Void Elf Lorewalking questline, and a preview of the epilogue for *WoW: The War Within* starring Vereesa Windrunner. Fans can try out these features and help test the game for free through the Battle.net launcher, even if they don’t have an active subscription.
