World of Warcraft Reveals Content Update 11.2.5 Patch Notes

World of Warcraft has just released details about update 11.2.7! This update brings Legion Remix, a boost for Season 3, and a variety of improvements to the game’s interface and accessibility. The new World of Warcraft patch will be available starting October 7th with the weekly reset, although some parts of the boost won’t arrive until two weeks after that.

Patch 11.2.5 for World of Warcraft is launching soon, and it’s packed with fun new things to do and improvements to the game. While this update doesn’t add to the story of World of Warcraft: The War Within, it does move us closer to the Midnight expansion.

Here are the patch notes for the latest update to World of Warcraft. The main focus of this patch is Legion Remix, a special, time-limited event that lets players quickly experience the popular Legion expansion. Players will be able to level up faster, face new difficulties with the Heroic World Tier, and get both new and familiar rewards from the expansion. You can enjoy Legion Remix without owning The War Within or pre-ordering World of Warcraft: Midnight, but you’ll need an active subscription to play beyond level 20.

Another key part of this update is a boost for World of Warcraft: The War Within Season 3. When the update releases, the Hero and Mythic upgrade systems will be expanded by two levels, and players will be able to use Augmentation Matrices to make crafted gear even more powerful. Plus, on October 21st, several more changes will be implemented, including unlimited Crests, Warbound Valorstones, and better rewards from Delve, as well as quests to obtain gear using Puzzling Cartel Chips.

This update also includes several other lasting improvements. The Cooldown Manager is receiving powerful new features, letting you organize cooldowns into three types: Essential, Utility, and Hidden by Default. We’re also adding a Recent Allies section to the Social frame, and enhancing Edit Mode, the Spellbook search bar, and other areas. As for gameplay, the D.I.S.C. Belt from Patch 11.1.7 now has a 20% reduction in the stats and damage of its abilities.

Even before Patch 11.2.5 is released, World of Warcraft players have a pretty good estimate of when 11.2.7 will come out. Player Housing in World of Warcraft is scheduled for December 2nd, and this likely marks the release of Patch 11.2.7, since it’s eight weeks after the October 7th release of 11.2.5. With the last two content updates for The War Within planned for this year, players are eagerly anticipating Midnight in early 2026.

We’re also making things even better during The War Within Season 3 with more rewards and enhancements to help you equip your Warband. LEGION REMIX

Legion Remix is a special, temporary event allowing players to create a Timerunner – a character based on one of the original 12 Legion classes – and quickly experience the entire Legion expansion, starting at level 10 and reaching 80. The gameplay has been modified with some significant changes! During the event, you’ll gain power, overcome difficult challenges, and collect a ton of rewards, including pets, mounts, and transmog gear. Learn more about the event!

You can play Legion Remix without owning a World of Warcraft expansion, but you’ll need an active Subscription or Game Time to continue playing past level 20. Players of Classic can access it by downloading the current World of Warcraft game, and Trial Accounts can enjoy the game up to level 20 before a subscription is required.

As a huge fan of Timerunning, I’m so excited to share some awesome news! They’ve boosted how much Bronze you earn from doing the things we all love. Basically, all your hard work in key activities is now even more rewarding. It’s a great change and I can’t wait to see what I can unlock faster! Check out the official announcement for all the details.

  • Bronze from Bronze Caches substantially increased.
  • All Infinite Research quests now have a bonus of 1000 Bronze.
  • Emissary quests now reward 4000 Bronze.
  • Special Assignment quests now reward 4000 Bronze.
  • World Quests now reward 200 Bronze.

TURBO-BOOST RETURNS

As a huge fan, I’m so excited for Season 3 of The War Within! They’re really going all out, giving us even more rewards and making improvements so we can quickly gear up our Warband with Turbo-Boost. It’s going to make a huge difference and I can’t wait to jump in!

With the initial 11.2.5 release:

The Hero and Myth upgrade paths will be expanded, increasing the number of upgrades from 6 to 8. Additionally, items you’ve crafted can be recrafted using an Augmentation Matrix, giving them even more power.

Soon after the 11.2.5 release:

Starting the week of October 21st, the limit on Crests has been removed, and Valorstones now function as Warbound for the rest of the season. We’re also doubling the drop rates for Warband gear in Mythic+ dungeons, up to the point where you receive Equipped gear. You can earn Ethereal Voidsplinters by completing Mythic+ dungeons, Manaforge Omega, Delves, and rated PvP activities, which you can use to power the Catalyst.

Two new quests are now available. These quests can be completed by either defeating 4 raid bosses on Normal difficulty or harder, or by finishing 4 Mythic+ dungeons. The first-time quest, Turbo-Boost: Trade Must Flow, will give you 3 Puzzling Cartel Chips. The weekly quest, Turbo-Boost: Infinite Growth, will reward 1 Puzzling Cartel Chip. In total, players can earn up to 9 Puzzling Cartel Chips per character.

I’m so excited! Fixer So’kir and Fixer So’tho are coming to Dornogal, and they’re bringing some seriously awesome stuff! They’ve got powerful weapons, cool trinkets, and even cantrip items from Season 3 dungeons and Manaforge Omega. But here’s the catch – we have to prove we’re worthy first. If we do, they’ll trade all that amazing gear for Puzzling Cartel Chips. Can’t wait to start collecting those chips!

Additionally, delves will be charged with boosts:

  • Increased Delver’s Journey progress and Crests earned after delve completion.
  • Increased weekly Valorstones and Crests earned from the Delver’s Bounty.
  • Additional weekly source of companion experience from Delver’s Bounty.
  • Tiers 9 and above can drop Champion 1/8 Warbound equipment.
  • Untainted Mana-Crystals can be obtained from opening Bountiful Coffers with Restored Coffer Keys inside of bountiful delves at Tier 9 or above after reaching rank 3 of the Delver’s Journey. These mana-crystals can be traded with Zah’ran for Hero track trinkets.

    • A setting has been added that allows you to hide your location from Recent Allies. This can be found in Settings > Social.
  • Improved visibility on frames in Edit Mode:
    • Hovering over the names of the enabled frames in Edit Mode window will now highlight the frame and display “Click to Edit”.
    • Hovering over a blue frame in Edit Mode will now show “Click to Edit” and the frame name as a tooltip.
  • The Spellbook search bar now has a suggestion to show Assisted Rotation spells.
  • Added a tooltip and system chat line with time remaining until players can Vote to Abandon a dungeon again after they failed one.
