Blizzard has announced Patch 11.2.7 for *World of Warcraft*, bringing exciting new content like a first look at Player Housing, the return of the Brawler’s Guild and Turbulent Timeways, and the beginning of the story for *Midnight*. This update, called “The Warning,” is the last piece of content before the release of *World of Warcraft: The War Within* on December 2nd.
The latest update for *World of Warcraft*, Patch 11.2, went live on October 7th. While it includes some minor additions like more character slots and tweaks to the Cooldown Manager, the main focus is on *Legion Remix* and a fast-paced experience called the Season 3 Turbo-Boost.
Just two days after the latest update went live, World of Warcraft has announced its next one. Patch 11.2.7, titled “The Warning,” will launch on December 2nd and serve as a bridge to the Midnight expansion. The patch will feature a new story arc with Vereesa Windrunner, a long-absent character, as she looks into a troubling prophecy that threatens Quel’Thalas.

Lorewalker Cho will soon share a new story detailing the history of the Thalassian Elves in *World of Warcraft*, helping players learn more about the race before the *Midnight* expansion. Plus, Pandaren players will finally be able to unlock their Heritage Armor through a questline that sends them back to the Wandering Isle to protect the Spirit Festival, featuring familiar faces like a grown-up Li Li Stormstout.
Players who bought the *Midnight* expansion will get early access to Player Housing in *World of Warcraft* starting December 2nd. Even if you haven’t purchased *Midnight*, you can still collect decorations and visit friends’ houses, but you won’t be able to claim your own house until you buy the expansion. Everyone who qualifies will be able to begin the Housing tutorial when the update launches. New players will first need to complete the short boat tutorial in the updated Exile’s Reach starting area before they can begin the Housing tutorial.
Patch 11.2.7 is bringing back the Brawler’s Guild to *World of Warcraft* with updates to the Brawl’gar Arena and Bizmo’s Brawlpub. Players can look forward to new and returning bosses, plus extra challenges, achievements, and rewards – including two new mounts and decorations for their Housing. The popular Turbulent Timeways event is also returning, offering new mounts and introducing *Shadowlands* Timewalking for the first time. With the *Midnight* expansion planned for early 2026, this patch will give players plenty to do before its release.
