Blizzard has announced new perks for the 12-month subscription to World of Warcraft. Subscribers will receive the Astral Aurochs and Grandiose Grrloc mounts for the current game, and the Sha-scarred Drake for the Classic version. These rewards are automatically included with a 12-month recurring subscription – no extra payments are needed.
Beginning in November 2022, *World of Warcraft* has been giving yearly subscribers extra perks. These often include unique mounts for both the current game and *Classic WoW*, like the Startouched Furline which was introduced in October 2024.
12-Month WoW Subscription Offer For 2025–2026
Okay, so Blizzard is updating the rewards for the yearly World of Warcraft sub! In addition to the new collectibles, players with a 12-month recurring subscription will receive 6-month subscriptions to *World of Warcraft* automatically. Currently, this includes the Herald of Sa’bak mount for the current game and the Sa’bak’s Favored pet for *Classic*. Starting in January and July of next year, subscribers will also earn the 6-month rewards for 2026.
Although the rewards for July haven’t been announced yet, *World of Warcraft* has given us a sneak peek at the items players can earn with a 6-month subscription starting in January. These rewards are typically themed around the Lunar New Year, including the zodiac animal and its associated element. The recently shared silhouette strongly suggests the theme for 2026 will be the Year of the Fire Horse, following the Timbered Sky Snake planned for 2025. Players will need to wait until next year to see the full design of the new mount for the modern game and its corresponding pet for *Classic*.
