  • Completing Traveler’s Logs in October earns the Depthstalker mount as a free reward, a welcome change from previous months.

As a seasoned World of Warcraft player with over a decade of experience under my belt, I find myself quite intrigued by the latest offerings from Blizzard. The Depthstalker mount, reminiscent of those Protoform mounts from Shadowlands Patch 9.2, seems to be a delightful addition to our collection.

The popular game, World of Warcraft, has unveiled its Trading Post catalog for October. This collection features a transmogrification set resembling scarecrows, various eerie weapons and armor pieces, and the Depthstalker mount as a complimentary reward. Players can acquire these World of Warcraft cosmetic items by accomplishing Traveler’s Log tasks and trading in Trader’s Tender throughout October.

In the game Dragonflight, there’s a store called The Trading Post that was introduced initially. This in-game shop offers a variety of cosmetic items for players to buy using a currency named Trader’s Tender. This currency can be acquired by accomplishing monthly tasks outlined in the Traveler’s Log. As of now, the Trading Post in World of Warcraft is brimming with pirate and Brewfest-themed cosmetics until the end of September.

Starting in October, World of Warcraft will be updating their items with a new lineup. The catalog is brimming with spooky treats for Hallow’s End, featuring the Hand of Reshkigaal mount, the Ragged Harvest Golem transmog ensemble including matching fist weapons, and black and white parasol toys and gloves to complete a gothic Victorian style. Stepping away from Halloween, players can also look forward to acquiring the Soot-Stained Shalewing pet, the Swift Zhevra mount, as well as numerous weapon and armor transmog options.

In October, if you manage to fully complete your Traveler’s Log, you’ll receive the Depthstalker mount as this month’s free reward. This eerie, advanced jellyfish-like mount resembles the Protoform mounts from Shadowlands‘ Patch 9.2 and can be used in any environment, whether it’s submerged underwater or while soaring through the skies. Given that many of this year’s bonus rewards from the Trading Post in World of Warcraft have been disappointing, it’s refreshing to see Blizzard offering mounts as rewards in both September and October.

Though the tasks for completing the Traveler’s Log reward haven’t been disclosed yet, there are multiple occasions in October that should make it a breeze. Apart from Timewalking events and the Darkmoon Faire, players can enjoy Brewfest at the start of the month, followed by Hallow’s End commencing on October 18th. Additionally, World of Warcraft’s 20th anniversary event is slated to begin on October 22nd. With these holidays and the anniversary event, fans will find plenty of opportunities to wrap up the Traveler’s Log.

Players might prefer to hold onto some of their October Trader’s Tender, but they should know that in November, World of Warcraft is bringing back the class armor and transmog sets from last year to the Trading Post. The best part? These items will no longer be limited by class, which means everyone can now potentially own these stunning sets. For those who passed on them before, it might be worth another look this time around.
