Okay, so Blizzard is bringing back the Turbulent Timeways event in World of Warcraft on December 2nd, right when Patch 11.2.7, ‘The Warning,’ drops. Basically, it’s a really fast way for me to level up my alts, which is awesome. Plus, they’re saying we can get some pretty good gear – high item level stuff – which is perfect for getting ready for the Midnight expansion that’s coming out in 2026. Definitely gonna check that out!
Turbulent Timeways, which began with the Dragonflight expansion, offers multiple weeks of Timewalking. This lets players revisit dungeons and raids from older World of Warcraft expansions. By participating in Timewalking, players can earn Timewarped Badges to redeem for cosmetic rewards, like the Timely Buzzbee mount. During the event, it’s also easier to level up new or alternate characters to level 80, as players receive a buff that gets stronger with each Timewalking dungeon completed.
World of Warcraft Patch 11.2.7 Turbulent Timeways Schedule
- December 2: Shadowlands
- December 9: Mists of Pandaria
- December 16: Classic
- December 23: Legion
- December 30: Cataclysm
- January 6: The Burning Crusade
- January 13: Warlords of Draenor
- January 20: Battle for Azeroth
- January 27: Wrath of the Lich King
- February 3: Shadowlands
Alright gamers, get ready! It’s been about five months since the last one, but Blizzard is bringing back Turbulent Timeways to World of Warcraft! It kicks off on December 2nd, right after the servers are back up after maintenance, and will run for a full ten weeks, wrapping up on February 3rd. We’re starting things off with Shadowlands Timewalking – meaning we can queue for special versions of dungeons like the Halls of Atonement and the Necrotic Wake. After that, they’ll be rotating in Timewalking from Mists of Pandaria, Legion, and Cataclysm. Plus, there will be new Shadowlandsthemed cosmetics available to buy with Timewarped Badges. And the best part? If you manage to get the ‘Master of the Turbulent Timeways IV’ achievement, you’ll earn a voucher for a free bronze Shadowlands* mount! Let’s get farming!

Okay, so get this – Turbulent Timeways is dropping with World of Warcraft Patch 11.2.7, called ‘The Warning’! This patch is actually the last big update for The War Within expansion, and it’s kinda setting the stage for what’s coming in Midnight. What I’m most hyped about is a new Lorewalking chapter all about the different Elves, plus if you pre-ordered Midnight, you’ll get early access to player housing! Oh, and the Brawler’s Guild is coming back, which is awesome. It’s gonna be a busy patch!
When the new Turbulent Timeways event begins, it will combine with the existing experience boost from the 21st anniversary celebration in World of Warcraft. This means players will have an even faster way to level up their other characters while both events are running. Players are also curious to see what other exciting things Blizzard has planned before the Midnight expansion releases in 2026.
