The exciting schedule for the latest Turbulent Timeways event in World of Warcraft has been unveiled. Over the next seven weeks, players can look forward to non-stop Timewalking campaigns. Starting now and running until February 24, World of Warcraft will swiftly traverse every Timewalking expansion. This thrilling journey offers players an opportunity to grab new rewards, a massive pile of Timewarped Badges, and a potent experience boost.

In September 2023, Blizzard Entertainment introduced an event called Turbulent Timeways in World of Warcraft. This event ran for five consecutive weeks and included Timewalking campaigns. During these weeks, players could participate in regular quests and activities as usual, but there was also a special stackable buff. After completing four Timewalking dungeons, this buff transformed into Mastery of Timeways, offering a 20% experience boost. Players who managed to get this boost for all five weeks were rewarded with the Master of the Turbulent Timeways achievement and the Sandy Shalewing pet.

The Turbulent Timeways are making a comeback, even bigger than before! For the following seven weeks, starting on January 7 with the Mists of Pandaria campaign and ending on February 18 with Cataclysm, players will embark on a different Timewalking series in sequence. Each week offers the same quests, dungeons, and raids as during WoW’s Timewalking campaigns, along with the reappearance of the stackable Mastery of Timeways buff.

World of Warcraft Turbulent Timeways Event Schedule

  • January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
  • January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
  • January 21-27: Legion
  • January 28-February 3: Classic
  • February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
  • February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
  • February 18-24: Cataclysm

Players who manage to master Timeways for five out of these seven weeks will be granted the Mastery of the Stormy Timeways 2 achievement, which bestows the charming Timely Buzzbee mount as a reward. The Timewalking merchants in each expansion now have permanent new items added to their inventory, like World of Warcraft transmogs themed around Discovery Season at the Classic vendor. During this event, these vendors also provide the Sandy Shalewing for those who missed the previous Turbulent Timeways. Additionally, completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest will yield Heroic gear while Turbulent Timeways is ongoing.

The 20th anniversary event for World of Warcraft has come to an end, and for 11 uninterrupted weeks, there were Timewalking campaigns. This means that players will now be engaged in Timewalking for a consecutive 18 weeks due to the Timewalking events and Turbulent Timeways.

If the thrill of Turbulent Timeways wasn’t enough, it also hints at some upcoming plans for World of Warcraft. The final Timewalking campaign extends until February 24th. Given its usual eight-week release cycle and the holiday season, this suggests that February 25th is likely the day for the release of World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, Undermined. This is because it will be ten weeks after Patch 11.0.7. With Turbulent Timeways, Plunderstorm’s second run from January 14th to February 17th, and the first major content update for The War Within shortly after, World of Warcraft is starting off 2025 with a big boom!
