Blizzard has given us a brief look at the gameplay for the upcoming Patch 11.1, titled Undermine, which will soon let players explore the eagerly awaited subterranean city within the World of Warcraft universe. Take a peek at the new arena maps, oddities, and bosses, as well as other exciting elements hidden within the goblin-themed environment.

hidden beneath the advanced landscape of Azeroth, the goblin city of Undermine has long remained undiscovered in the annals of World of Warcraft lore. However, with a forthcoming update anticipated for early next year, developers have given players a sneak peek into what new loot they can look forward to, as demonstrated in a recent WOW Cast.

Undermine Kicks off World of Warcraft Season 2

As a gamer, I find myself immersed in the gritty underworld city, where my mission is to forge alliances with one of the dominant goblin cartels. The ultimate goal? To reap the rewards of transmorgs, toys, and an exclusive new ground mount, tailor-made for the Undermine universe.

In the enlarged city, you’ll find three additional underground tunnels known as “delves,” one named “Cage of Carnage” for its arena-like design, and some modifications inspired by goblins for existing delves. Additionally, there will be items called “curios” specifically for Brann Bronzebeard. This upcoming patch, labeled 11.1, marks the beginning of World of Warcraft season 2 and continues the storyline known as “The War Within.

Additionally, it will include some quests from Season Two, such as “Liberation of Undermine”, along with a brand-new dungeon called “Operation: Floodgate”, which will be part of the Mythic difficulty level.

Undermine: From Myth to Reality

For the first time in the game, you’ll get to explore a place often mentioned – Undermine. Historically, this location served as the capital for the goblin empire, nestled beneath a volcanic mountain close to the island of Kezan.

Nevertheless, a catastrophic explosion lays waste to Kezan, causing the goblins to flee, seemingly abandoning a city that appears destroyed beyond recognition. For years, the city has been enveloped in secrecy, but the latest update presents players with an unprecedented opportunity to delve into its hidden corners for the very first time.

In other news, World of Warcraft Winter Veil is now live, with holiday-themed rewards available until January 9. Blizzard has also announced the Classic: 20th Anniversary edition Phase 2, which is also slated for January 9.
