Starting May 1st, I’ll be diving headfirst into Phase 4 of the 20th Anniversary Edition in World of Warcraft Classic! Can’t wait to see you there, fellow gamers!

On November 21, 2024, the “World of Warcraft” launched a fresh set of “Classic” servers as part of its 20th Anniversary Edition. Popularly known as “Classic Fresh,” these servers are replaying the original Vanilla “WoW” experience anew, with some planning to advance further into The Burning Crusade expansion, while others will remain in their current state.

Currently, players in the World of Warcraft Classic realms are gearing up for the fourth phase of Vanilla content to return once more, starting on May 1st. The main attraction of Phase 4 is Zul’Gurub, a 20-man raid where enthusiasts face ten different challenges, culminating in a battle against Hakkar, the Soulflayer. Without any attunement process and boasting shorter reset times as well as less complex mechanics compared to most raids, Zul’Gurub offers an excellent opportunity for players to upgrade their gear in preparation for upcoming phases while also earning the elusive Swift Razzashi Raptor and Swift Zulian Tiger mounts in World of Warcraft.

In this update, individuals who have already acquired Tier 0 dungeon gear will now be able to initiate the process of getting Tier 5 dungeon sets as well. You can embark on this quest by talking to Deliana in Ironforge’s Great Forge (for Alliance), or Mokvar in Orgrimmar’s Valley of Wisdom (for Horde). These conversations will set you on the path to acquiring this formidable equipment.

When I’ve got my gaming gear on, I can take on the Dragons of Nightmare – these four Green Dragon bosses in World of Warcraft that rotate across Ashenvale, Duskwood, Feralas, and the Hinterlands. Lethon, Emeriss, Ysondre, and Taerar each have their own deadly tactics, so it’s wise to round up a strong team before giving them a shot.

Enthusiasts of angling have the opportunity to join the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza, a weekly fishing competition held in the southernmost region of the Eastern Kingdoms, where they could win exceptional prizes such as the Fortunate Angling Cap, the Arcane Rod of Fishing, or the Ring of the Dread Pirate. Meanwhile, players preparing for the Gates of Ahn’Qiraj in World of Warcraft Classic Phase 5 can venture to Silithus, a land rich with the Cenarion Circle’s investigations into the Twilight Hammer and the Silithid. Here, high-level adventurers will find numerous challenges and quests related to their exploration.
