In Patch 11.1, any leftover Bronze Celebration Tokens from the 20th anniversary event in World of Warcraft will be automatically converted into Timewarped Badges. This means that players who didn’t have a chance to spend their tokens before the event ended will receive 20 Timewarped Badges for each token they still had, directly into their World of Warcraft character inventories once the update goes live.
After 11 weeks of gaming, the 20th anniversary event for World of Warcraft has finally wrapped up. Throughout the festivities, players like myself could rack up tons of Bronze Celebration Tokens effortlessly. These tokens were valuable currency to grab updated Tier 2 sets and a mix of old and fresh anniversary goodies. Any leftover tokens from fellow WoW enthusiasts could be swapped for Timewarped Badges, the essential currency for Timewalking events.
After the event has concluded, World of Warcraft is assisting players who haven’t spent all their Bronze Celebration Tokens. As per a post by WoW community manager Linxy on the forums, any characters possessing Bronze Celebration Tokens in their currency inventory will automatically have these tokens converted into Timewarped Badges at a rate of 1:20 – the same conversion rate applied during the event. This conversion will occur the first time they log in following the release of Patch 11.1 in World of Warcraft.
World of Warcraft Bronze Celebration Token Auto-Conversion in Patch 11.1
The Bronze Celebration Tokens became worthless once the event concluded on January 7, as Blizzard announced they would no longer utilize this currency in any future instances, such as when World of Warcraft reintroduces updated Tier 2 sets for anniversaries or other events. This automatic conversion ensures that players who hadn’t already spent their tokens won’t be left holding an obsolete item on their Currency list.
As a dedicated fan of World of Warcraft, I’m eagerly anticipating Patch 11.1, though its official launch date remains undisclosed. However, based on the timeline of upcoming events such as the second Plunderstorm event from January 14 to February 17 and the Turbulent Timeways running through February 24, it seems reasonable to expect the update around February 25. This is because this date aligns with a 10-week gap following Patch 11.0.7, which coincides with Blizzard’s current release pattern while also considering the holiday season. So here’s to hoping we get to explore new adventures in Azeroth soon!
It’s looking like the Bronze Celebration Token exchange may occur post the completion of the second Turbulent Timeways event in World of Warcraft. During this seven-week event, which is integrated into every Timewalking campaign, players have plenty of opportunities to utilize their Timewarped Badges. Fortunately, the rewards obtained with these badges won’t be permanently removed, so players can hold onto their Timewarped Badges for future Timewalking events.
