505 Games has officially set a release date for the action RPG “Wuchang: Fallen Feathers,” which is now scheduled to launch on July 24. On top of current-generation consoles and PC, players will also be able to enjoy this soulslike game from day one through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
First announced in September 2021, “Wuchang: Fallen Feathers” is a fresh soulslike game from Lenzee Games, located in Chengdu, China. This game is set in tumultuous 17th-century China, towards the end of the Ming dynasty. The main character, Wuchang, is a pirate with amnesia who is suffering from an incurable disease called the Feathering Disease. This condition ultimately leads to insanity and transforms its victims into grotesque creatures. As Wuchang navigates the ravaged land of Shu, she seeks to discover her past and learn more about the monstrous beings plaguing the region.
After securing a summer 2025 release for “Wuchang: Fallen Feathers”, publisher 505 Games has set a firm date: July 24. This game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms – accessible through both Steam and the Epic Games Store. If you’re an Xbox Game Pass member and have either the Ultimate tier subscription or PC Game Pass, you can play it on its release day. As for Xbox Cloud Gaming support at launch, it remains undecided, but historically, new XGP releases usually include this feature.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Starts at $49.99
Announcing the game’s launch date also unveiled a fresh trailer, signifying the commencement of pre-orders for the action-RPG titled “Wuchang: Fallen Feathers“. You can reserve your copy of the standard edition priced at $49.99 / £44.99 / €49.99 through 505 Games. Pre-ordering rewards include two costumes (White Spectre and Night Spectre), the Vermillion War Club weapon, and a Glistening Red Mercury upgrade item. If you opt for the Deluxe Edition priced at $59.99, you’ll receive four extra outfits, four additional weapons, and the Blood of Changhong skill upgrade item as bonuses.
Typically, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can buy the Deluxe Edition even if they don’t already own the standard version. The benefits from pre-ordering will be provided to players right at the beginning of the game’s narrative.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Already Has 2 Confirmed Games for July 2025
After the announcement of its release date, two games have been confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in July 2025: one being the remake of “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4,” set to be available starting on July 11. Another title, “Moonlighter 2,” is scheduled for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in summer 2025, but its precise release date has yet to be finalized.
