As a dedicated fan who’s been sailing the seas of Solaris-3 since its maiden voyage back in May, I must say that Wuthering Waves has managed to keep me hooked with each new update. The Thaw of Eons patch was nothing short of a winter wonderland for us players, introducing not just Jinhsi, Changli, Xiangli Yao, and Zhezhi, but also the chilly Mt. Firmament region.

The game ‘Wuthering Waves’, launched in May, has amassed a significant fanbase from the open-world gacha community. With the arrival of its latest patch, Thaw of Eons, the buzz around it has only escalated, as it introduced the frigid terrain of Mt. Firmament and new 5-star characters like Jinhsi, Changli, Xiangli Yao, and Zhezhi. It’s worth noting that while Patch 1.1 added Act 7, various enhancements to the game’s user experience, and fresh Echoes, the cooperative mode of the game remained untouched despite receiving criticism.

The teamwork mode in Wuthering Waves has its advantages and disadvantages. While some players think it’s a step up compared to HoYoverse games like Genshin Impact, there’s definitely potential for further improvements. Interestingly, there are whispers about Kuro Games’ game that indicate the teamwork feature might be revamped soon.

Wuthering Waves Might Be Beating Genshin Impact To The Punch With Major Co-Op Advancements

Wuthering Waves Co-Op Changes May Finally Grant Players Their Desired Co-Op Freedom

Cooperation modes can be found in anime-inspired gacha games like “Genshin Impact” and “Wuthering Waves”, yet these aspects might seem shallow compared to other features because they are primarily designed for single player experience. Still, gamers have consistently hoped for more complex cooperative experiences. At present, the co-op mode functions adequately, but it may not be extensively utilized given its limited options.

Currently, at Union Level 22, players gain access to the “Cooperative Mode.” This allows up to three individuals to join a friend’s game world. They can then collaboratively navigate the map, gather resources, amass Echoes, and battle bosses as a team. However, certain aspects like shared chest opening, puzzle solving, and access to individual story quests are not supported in cooperative play. Additionally, players have fewer party options when entering co-op, which might discourage them from using this feature entirely.

User Razor_Language, a well-known figure on what was once Twitter and known for sharing leaks and speculations about games like Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Wuthering Waves, hinted at Kuro Games revamping the cooperative mode of their games. If true, this update could enable players to split their teams and deploy all three characters simultaneously. However, Razor_Language emphasizes that this information should be treated with a degree of skepticism. Despite this, the community’s response to the potential modifications has been remarkably positive, mainly due to the fact that Genshin Impact, which has been around for nearly four years, hasn’t introduced such changes yet.

The addition of a stronger cooperative mode in Wuthering Waves is generally considered a good thing, but there are worries that it might affect the game’s performance, particularly for mobile users. Ever since its release, players have experienced problems like frame rate drops, system interface delays, and crashes. Therefore, while the thought of a more demanding cooperative mode excites us, it needs to be implemented with caution to prevent making these issues worse.

Regardless of whether these changes take place or not, there’s been no formal announcement or set timeline for their rollout. If the rumors are indeed correct, it would be great if Kuro Games could learn from the shortcomings of cooperative modes in open-world gacha games like Tower of Fantasy, and create a robust system suitable for Solaris-3’s world. For now, fans can keep an eye on Wuthering Waves’ official website and social media channels for any updates.
