In simple terms, “Where Winds Meet,” the imminent open-world action Wuxia adventure by Everstone Studios, will be an exclusive title on PlayStation 5 for a period of at least half a year.
The new video on the PlayStation YouTube channel provides confirmation (about the game). This trailer, which is available across multiple platforms, offers a glimpse into the game’s narrative. Towards the end of this teaser, it was revealed that “Where Winds Meet” will be exclusively available on PS5 for at least six months. However, it’s also going to be released on mobile and PC devices as well.
Regarding the release date, I must admit that we only have a general “2025” timeline at this point, but the publisher NetEase has announced that their final test will start on July 25 for both PC and PS5 platforms. This upcoming test introduces a new urban area, Kaifeng, which hasn’t been accessible before. If you want to participate, you can sign up using the provided official registration link. As of now, there are no pre-order incentives available, but players can add it to their wishlist from today onwards.
Launched for PC in China towards the end of 2024, and adapted for mobile use in 2025, ‘Where Winds Meet’ is an engaging game set during the Ten Kingdoms Era, a period marked by conflicts between rival dynasties. Players assume the role of a skilled swordsman, whose actions can significantly alter the outcome of the struggle based on their decisions. This game draws heavily from Wuxia, a popular Chinese genre of fiction that features ancient martial artists with extraordinary abilities.
From the sneak peek of “Where Winds Meet” in August 2023, we had the opportunity to dive in, experiencing a blend of gameplay reminiscent of both Zelda and The Witcher, as well as the vast array of systems, choices, and potential outcomes it appears to offer.
Regarding Sony, they are aiming to replicate the massive success of Black Myth: Wukong, set to debut on Xbox Series X and S in August, following its release on PC and PS5 last year.
