2K has shared more information about WWE 2K26, specifically focusing on the MyFaction mode, which will have significant new features and improvements. WWE 2K26 is the newest installment in the popular series and will be released on March 13th, with those who pre-order gaining early access starting March 6th. 2K and Visual Concepts have been releasing previews called “Ringside Reports” to showcase the game’s updates, including a new MyRise mode, revamped game types, a storyline centered around factions, and a longer 60-week progression system.
Players have often criticized the MyFaction mode in past WWE 2K games. This mode lets you collect virtual wrestler cards and build your dream team, either by earning rewards in the game or by purchasing packs with real money. The idea is to create the most powerful roster possible, but many players find it frustratingly grindy to get the cards they want. While 2K has announced new match types for WWE 2K26, players are concerned that MyFaction will remain largely the same, sticking to the same repetitive system.
2K Confirms New MyFaction Changes in WWE 2K26
In WWE 2K26, the MyFaction mode is getting an overhaul with a new feature called Team Chemistry. This system will consider how well your wrestlers work together based on their faction affiliations. A big change is the addition of intergender matches, meaning you can now build teams with both male and female superstars in most modes. While certain events will still require same-gender teams, the majority of the game will support mixed rosters.
A new feature called Quickswap is coming to WWE 2K26‘s MyFaction mode. Inspired by fighting games, Quickswap lets you switch between wrestlers mid-match with a teleportation animation. Each wrestler maintains their own health, but the team shares Signature and Finisher moves. This adds a new layer of strategy and should make matches even more exciting.
Image via 2K I’m really excited to see Faction Wars come back in WWE 2K26! They’ve revamped how we progress, and now we get cards randomly drawn from a new ‘Crowd’ deck. The more we win in Faction Wars, the more decks we unlock, giving us even more cards to collect. Plus, the MyFaction cards are getting a visual update with different gem rarities to show how rare they are. And if we earn cards through the WWE 2K26 Ring Pass, they’ll have a unique look all their own!

Whether these changes will be enough to satisfy players remains to be seen, but 2K is planning significant updates for the next installment of the WWE 2K series. WWE 2K26 will feature more dynamic wrestler entrances with greater opportunities to show off personality, and players will now be able to create up to 200 custom wrestlers. The GM mode is also getting revamped, allowing for matches with up to eight competitors. Players can also expect more challenging AI opponents and an updated WWE draft screen. More improvements and features will likely be announced as the game’s release date approaches.
