Collaborating with LG Electronics, Xbox aims to deliver the Xbox Gaming Experience directly onto your LG Smart TV. This partnership is part of Microsoft’s strategy to provide increased versatility and options, eliminating the necessity of a separate console.

As an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member later this year, I’ll be able to stream my much-loved games right onto my LG TV using the Xbox app. This means I can enjoy both titles I already own and those available in the Xbox Game Pass library, such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, straight from my television screen!

Xbox app integrates with LG’s Gaming Portal

In a recent post, Lori Wright, Corporate Vice President of Xbox, outlined some exciting developments for gamers. She showed great excitement about the partnership and emphasized the newfound freedom it brings in experiencing their cherished video games.

The Vice President stated that our collaboration with LG enables gamers to effortlessly find and engage with games via the latest Gaming Portal on LG Smart TVs, expanding the variety of ways they can savor their preferred games.

The revamped LG Gaming Hub now offers a wide range of gaming functionalities, including cloud-based game applications, customized suggestions, and carefully selected game collections. Furthermore, it seamlessly integrates the Xbox Game Pass library, featuring your recent games, popular choices, and additional content.

Xbox’s decision to team up with LG is in line with their broader objective to grow their cloud gaming services and cater to audiences beyond traditional consoles. Previous partnerships have made Xbox Cloud Gaming accessible on numerous devices, such as certain Samsung TVs. However, this recent alliance broadens the service availability even further, reaching more smart TVs.

It’s been verified by both firms that the new feature is due for launch towards the end of 2025, yet they haven’t specified exactly when it will be available, which games it will be compatible with, or which exact LG TV models will be able to use the Xbox app.
