Xbox Announces Partner Preview for This Week

Xbox has announced a special preview event for Thursday, March 26th. The broadcast will include updates on games like Stranger Than Heaven, The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. We’ll also get a first look at announcements for other upcoming games on Xbox consoles, PC, and through Xbox Game Pass.

Starting in October 2023, Xbox launched a series called “Partner Preview” to showcase games from its partners – both large studios and independent developers. Xbox has held four of these events so far, with the most recent one in November 2025. This latest preview revealed brand new looks at Vampire Crawlers, Armatus, and Raji: Kaliyuga, and offered a sneak peek at upcoming downloadable content for Dave the Diver and Hitman: World of Assassination. Previous events have highlighted games like Alan Wake 2, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, The Alters, Final Fantasy 14, and Persona 3 Reload.

Xbox Partner Preview Confirmed for March 26

  • Airs March 26 at 10am PT / 1pm ET

Xbox is hosting its fifth Partner Preview on Thursday, March 26th. You can tune in at 10am Pacific Time, 1pm Eastern Time, or 5pm GMT on Xbox’s official YouTube and Twitch channels. Xbox has announced that the event will feature details on three upcoming games.

One of the new games is called Stranger Than Heaven. Originally known as “Project Century,” it’s being created by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, the team famous for the Like a Dragon and Judgment series. The game was first shown to the public at the 2024 Game Awards, with a story trailer released during Summer Game Fest 2025. An upcoming Xbox Partner Preview is expected to offer a detailed look at the gameplay.

The second game confirmed for the March 2026 Xbox Partner Preview is S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Originally released in November 2024 for Xbox Series X/S and PC, and later brought to PS5 in November 2025, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is a first-person survival horror game set in the post-apocalyptic Chernobyl exclusion zone. While the game faced some technical problems when it first launched, it has improved significantly thanks to ongoing support from the developers. GSC Game World plans to continue supporting S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 with a new update that will be showcased during the Xbox Partner Preview.

The final game revealed for the upcoming Xbox Partner Preview is The Expanse: Osiris Reborn. First announced at the June 2025 Future Games Expo, this action-RPG is based on the popular science fiction book series of the same name. It’s being created by Owlcat Games, the studio behind titles like Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, and Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader.

Xbox’s upcoming Partner Preview will feature new game reveals, world premieres, and announcements about what’s coming to Xbox Game Pass. However, given the event’s focus on games from partner studios and past previews, don’t expect any major surprises from Xbox’s own studios. Games like Gears of War: E-Day and Halo: Campaign Evolved are unlikely to be shown.
