As a long-time Xbox Game Pass subscriber, I have come to appreciate the service for providing me with a vast array of games that I might not otherwise play or even know about. The day one releases of Flock and Magical Delicacy on July 16 are particularly exciting additions to the catalog, offering unique indie gaming experiences.

Beginning July 16, Xbox Game Pass will introduce two exclusive indie games: Flock and Magical Delicacy. These games will be available to Xbox Game Pass members on the release date. Currently, Xbox Game Pass remains an economical choice for experimenting with new games, as it grants users entry to a variety of titles they may not have tried otherwise.

Game Pass’s allure and potential annoyance lies in its frequent updates. It consistently introduces new games to its collection, keeping things exciting for subscribers. These additions range from popular classics with devoted fan bases, to overlooked indie hits, and even titles that debut on the service on their release date.

In July, Xbox Game Pass is set to introduce nine new games on their release day. The first two, “Cricket 24” and “The Case of the Golden Idol,” will be available starting July 9. Following closely behind are “Neon White” and “Tchia,” which have previously been released on other platforms and can be played from July 11. Subsequently, on July 16, members can look forward to adding “Flock” and “Magical Delicacy” to their library. These games offer unique playing experiences as they are both indie titles with distinct mechanics.

Created by Hollow Ponds, Flock is a vibrant and engaging multiplayer cooperative game. In this game, you assume the role of shepherds, responsible for guiding your flock of flying sheep to new pastures. As you lead them through enchanting and colorful landscapes, you’ll uncover hidden secrets and possibly encourage unique wildlife to join your expanding flock. The animals yield beautiful wool that can be transformed into various garments like scarves, hats, sweaters, and more. By the time you reach your destination, dressed in your finest creations, you may have discovered all the creatures this world of Flock has to offer.

As a longtime fan of Metroidvania games and someone who enjoys a good pixel art adventure, I’m thrilled to learn that Skaule’s Magical Delicacy is joining the Xbox Game Pass lineup on July 16. Having played many games in this genre, I can appreciate the unique twist that Magical Delicacy brings to the table with its charming story of a young witch named Flora.
