As a gamer, I’m super excited to share that my Xbox Game Pass library has grown even bigger! Now, I can add the Blizzard Arcade Collection to my list of games. In March 2025 alone, this is the seventh new title Microsoft’s subscription service has welcomed. And get this, it’s the 28th game added since the start of the year! This means more gaming hours for me!
The Blizzard Arcade Collection, marking Blizzard’s 30th anniversary, was first released towards the end of February 2021. At its launch, it included three games: the puzzle-platformer ‘The Lost Vikings’, the vehicular combat game ‘Rock n’ Roll Racing’, and the action platformer ‘Blackthorne’. In April 2021, two more classic titles—’The Lost Vikings 2′ and ‘RPM Racing’—were added to this collection.
Approximately four years after its debut, the Blizzard Arcade Collection has been added to Microsoft’s subscription service, specifically Xbox Game Pass, as of March 25th. This five-game compilation can be accessed on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Most contemporary titles on Xbox Game Pass include Xbox Cloud Gaming compatibility, but unfortunately, the Blizzard Arcade Collection does not currently support streaming.

Unlike most games on Xbox Game Pass that come and go, the Blizzard Arcade Collection won’t be leaving soon because it’s published by Microsoft subsidiary, Blizzard. This collection is accessible across all tiers of Xbox Game Pass that aren’t the Core tier, and unlike other titles, it’s unlikely to be removed from the service in the near future. The exception is when Microsoft’s own games are delisted due to problems like expired licenses, such as Forza Horizon 4 which was taken off the service late in 2024.
Blizzard Arcade Collection Games
- Blackthorne (1994)
- The Lost Vikings (1993)

Enthusiasts of ’90s classic games will now find ample opportunity to delve into the _Blizzard Arcade Collection_ at their leisure via Xbox Game Pass. As for upcoming additions, the subscription service is planning another release this month, specifically Rebellion Developments’ post-apocalyptic survival game _Atomfall_, due on Xbox Game Pass as a launch title on March 27. Interestingly, members of PC Game Pass and XGP Ultimate have been able to play _Atomfall_ since March 24, provided they opted for the $22.49 Deluxe Upgrade, which offers early access.
Microsoft’s subscription service boasts around six games set to debut next month, starting with “South of Midnight” on April 8. Following that, “Commandos: Origins” and “Descenders Next” are expected to be released on April 9. The next day, April 10, will see the arrival of “Blue Prince.” Last but not least, “Tempopo” and “Clair Obscur: Expedition 33” are due for release on April 17 and April 24 respectively.
