Xbox Game Pass Adds a Cozy Multiplayer Adventure Game

Xbox Game Pass has added the game Bratz: Rhythm & Style to its library, starting December 11th. Xbox Game Pass offers different membership levels – Ultimate, Premium, PC, and Essential – with Ultimate being the most complete, though also the priciest. Ultimate gives you access to over 500 games on PCs, Xbox consoles, and devices like the ROG Xbox Ally X, plus benefits like Fortnite Crew, EA Play, and Ubisoft+ Classics. A big draw for many subscribers is that Ultimate includes new games on the day they are released.

If you’re not focused on playing new games the moment they’re released, the Xbox Game Pass Premium or Essential plans could be a better fit. These plans have fewer games – around 200 for Premium and 50 for Essential – but they’re much cheaper. You still get cloud gaming for some titles, discounts on certain games, special perks, and online multiplayer for consoles. Plus, there’s a separate Game Pass option just for PC gamers.

On December 11th, players with Ultimate, Premium, or PC Game Pass subscriptions got to play Bratz: Rhythm & Style, a fun action-adventure game that came out in September. Developed by RecoTechnology, the game combines rhythm-based challenges with the ability to customize your characters. It features two ways to play: a story mode and a party mode. In story mode, players follow Cloe, Yasmin, Sasha, and Jade as they travel to vibrant cities like Paris, Milan, Tokyo, and Lagos. There, they’ll explore, complete tasks, collect coins, play mini-games, and compete in fashion shows and rhythm games involving dancing and fitness. The party mode lets up to four players team up locally and enjoy three different types of rhythm games together.

As you’d expect from Bratz, this game is all about personal style! Players can customize their characters with over 400 clothing options – including classic and new looks from Bratz dolls – plus tons of makeup, hairstyles, and colors. You can create unique outfits and then showcase them in fashion shows. The game also features 20 original songs from the Bratz world, including tracks like “So Good” and “It’s a Girl Thing” from the 2021 release, Bratz: Rock Angelz. Keep an eye out for appearances from popular characters like Kumi, Felicia, and Roxxi!

Bratz dolls first appeared in 2001 and quickly became a popular fashion brand known around the world. Many kids today grew up playing with these dolls and will remember the original characters like Cloe, Yasmin, Sasha, and Jade, who were introduced when the brand first launched. Over the years, Bratz has expanded beyond dolls to include video games, toys, TV shows, and movies.

Bratz: Rhythm & Style refreshes the game series with an updated game engine. While four downloadable content packs are currently available, they aren’t included with the Xbox Game Pass subscription. Players can buy these packs individually or as part of the game’s deluxe edition.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers have enjoyed a strong lineup of games this month with additions like Stellaris, Monster Train 2, 33 Immortals, the survival horror game Routine, and, most recently, Mortal Kombat 1. More games are still coming to the service in December, and those titles will be announced soon.
