Xbox Game Pass Adds a Day-One Game Today That Puts a Wild Twist on a Familiar Genre

Xbox Game Pass had a slow finish to 2025, but it’s started 2026 strong. February brought a great selection of games, including both new releases and popular titles – a mix of big-budget AAA games and smaller indie hits. Recent additions include favorites like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Death Howl, Kingdom Come Deliverance, and Diablo 2: Resurrected. Just recently, subscribers also gained access to TCG Card Shop Simulator, a well-received 2024 game with an ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ rating from over 43,000 Steam users, despite its simple concept.

Xbox Game Pass Subscribers Have Another Engaging Deck-Builder to Play

On February 25th, Xbox Game Pass added a distinctive new game called Dice A Million. It’s available for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members on PC. This game is a fun mix of deckbuilding and dice-rolling mechanics. Instead of cards, you use special dice with various effects that can be combined for powerful results, making it appealing to players who enjoy unique and strategic games.

The game starts with players stuck in a building full of dice, and their goal is to escape. They do this by collecting and rolling dice to complete stages, ultimately aiming to reach a score of one million. There are over 120 unique dice to find and purchase, each with different effects that can be combined for big scores – or big losses! Players can also find treasure and cards that boost their dice and rolls. To help them overcome tough final bosses, they can equip rings – there are more than 80 to choose from, each offering special bonuses.

Even before its official release on February 25th, Dice A Million has been available as a demo on Steam, and players are already sharing their thoughts. Over 200 players have tried the demo and given it a “Very Positive” rating. Most agree that this new roguelike from countlessnights has the potential to be a big success. It offers a fun spin on typical deckbuilding games with its dice-based mechanics, which combine chance with thoughtful strategy. The fast-paced gameplay is perfect for short play sessions and encourages players to come back for more.

Xbox Game Pass is getting a boost with games like Dice A Million, and more are on the way! Towerborne will officially launch on Game Pass on February 26th for Ultimate, Premium, and PC members. You’ve been able to try an early version of Towerborne since April 2025 through the Game Preview program, and special Founder’s Packs are currently available in the Xbox Store.

Starting March 3rd, fans on Microsoft’s Game Pass will be able to play Final Fantasy 3, joining the first two games in the Pixel Remaster series. For those who enjoyed Kingdom Come Deliverance when it was added last month, the sequel will be available soon after. And on March 5th, Planet of Lana 2 – the follow-up to the critically acclaimed 2023 puzzle-platformer about a girl’s survival on an alien-invaded planet – will be available to play on Game Pass starting on its release day.
