Xbox Game Pass Adds Brutal Yet Comical Game With 'Very Positive' Reviews

Key Takeaways

  • Mad Streets was added to Xbox Game Pass on October 7.
  • The brutal and comical multiplayer brawler is available across all non-Core tiers of Microsoft’s subscription service.
  • Two more titles have already been confirmed to be coming to Xbox Game Pass before the end of October 2024.

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I must say that the addition of Mad Streets to Xbox Game Pass is a welcome move! This brutal and comical multiplayer brawler has been on my radar for quite some time now, and being able to access it through my subscription service is just fantastic.

The ever-expanding Xbox Game Pass collection now includes the game titled “Mad Streets“. This marks the second fresh addition to the service, following the trend set in October 2024.

As a fan, I’d say I’m thoroughly enjoying Mad Streets, a riotous party game brought to us by the talented minds at Craftshop Arts based in Canada. This game lets up to four of us engage in good old-fashioned brawling, with an exciting twist – physics-driven chaos! Initially released on the latest Xbox consoles in August 2021, it subsequently expanded its reach to PC and Google Stadia in March 2022. The community’s response has been overwhelmingly positive, as evidenced by the “Very Positive” user reviews it’s garnered on Steam.

Mad Streets Expands Xbox Game Pass Multiplayer Game Lineup

Two years after its initial launch, Craftshop Arts’ first game, Mad Streets, joined Microsoft’s subscription service on October 7. Since it wasn’t released on the same day, Mad Streets is now accessible across all tiers of Xbox Game Pass that aren’t part of the Core plan. Interestingly, the PC version of this game doesn’t accommodate mouse and keyboard controls; instead, a controller is required to play it.

Mad Streets” has now broadened the diverse assortment of multiplayer adventures available on Xbox Game Pass. Not only does it guarantee intense and humorous gameplay, but it also caters to trophy enthusiasts with its ten straightforward achievements, which amount to a total of 1,000 Gamerscore points. Interestingly, while all the achievements can be unlocked by playing against AI opponents, “Mad Streets” is at its best when played in a group, particularly because it includes split-screen mode, a feature that’s not commonly found in modern gaming.

For October 2024, Xbox Game Pass has announced two more games joining its lineup. First up is the deck-building roguelike game, Inscryption, which is scheduled for release on October 10. The much-anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will then make its debut on October 25. Due to the recent changes in tiers for Microsoft’s subscription service, only PC Game Pass and GP Ultimate members will have access to the new Call of Duty title.

For this month’s XGP releases, Black Ops 6 is currently the only title confirmed from the second wave, with the rest of the games expected to be revealed in mid-October 2024. Notably, five games – Scorn, F1 Manager 2023, From Space, Everspace 2, and Dyson Sphere Program – will be leaving the Xbox Game Pass library on October 15, as part of Microsoft’s subscription service.
