Initially released on PC in early access back in 2024, this Prince has managed to draw players in and is now recognized as a top-notch roguelike 2D platformer. This announcement for Xbox Game Pass coincides with the game’s release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Recently, a whisper circulated that The Rogue Prince of Persia might make its way onto PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. Now, official news verifies this speculation, although the game is set to launch on Switch models 1 and 2 towards the end of 2025.

Earlier this month, subscribers were granted access to titles like “Blacksmith Master” (game preview), “Void/Breaker,” and others. On August 20, “Goat Simulator Remastered” will be added to Game Pass Standard, while “Persona 4 Golden” will become available on all tiers. Towards the end of the month, expect “Herdling,” “Gears of War: Reloaded,” and “Dragon Age: The Veilguard” to join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC.
2025 has been a fruitful year for Xbox Game Pass, and there’s even more excitement ahead for this well-liked subscription service! On October 21, we’re excited to announce that Ninja Gaiden 4 will be available as a day-one game. Moreover, starting on October 29, you can enjoy The Outer Worlds 2 through Xbox Game Pass.
Come September 1st, several games will no longer be available on the subscription service. Specifically, five titles – “Ben 10 Power Trip”, “Borderlands 3”, “Paw Patrol Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay”, “Sea of Stars”, and “This War of Mine: Final Cut” – are set to leave Xbox Game Pass by August 31st. Among these, the departures of “Borderlands 3” and “Sea of Stars” may be particularly regrettable, especially given that “Borderlands 4” is due for release later this year.
