Xbox Game Pass is getting seven new games in January 2026, with two of them available to play right now! Plus, four more games are being added to a higher Game Pass subscription tier.
It’s been five weeks since Microsoft last shared what’s coming to Xbox Game Pass. Usually, they announce new games twice a month, but for several years, they’ve combined their December announcements into one. This makes the wait for the first games of the new year a bit longer. This year, the wait ended on January 6th when Microsoft revealed the first set of games coming to Xbox Game Pass in 2026.
Xbox Game Pass Confirms Its First 7 Games of 2026
This month’s games kick off today, January 6th, with the surprise release of Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition. More games will follow shortly: Final Fantasy arrives on January 8th, and Star Wars Outlaws on January 13th. My Little Pony: A Zephyr Heights Mystery is scheduled for January 15th, with MIO: Memories in Orbit and Resident Evil Village coming five days after that. Before today, only MIO: Memories in Orbit was known to be joining Xbox Game Pass in January 2026.

Xbox Game Pass Premium subscribers will get four new games on January 7, 2026: Atomfall, Lost in Random: The Eternal Die, Warhammer 40k: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition, and Rematch. These titles have already been available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members since early 2025.

So, Microsoft just announced the first batch of games coming to Xbox Game Pass in January 2026, which is awesome! But they also let us know which games are leaving on January 15th: Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, Neon White, Road 96, The Ascent, and The Grinch: Christmas Adventures. Honestly, if you’ve been keeping up with things, this wasn’t a huge shock – the Xbox app actually leaked these departures earlier this month!
