On March 15, two Yakuza games and five additional titles will no longer be available on Xbox Game Pass. This marks the first games to be removed from the subscription service in March 2025, but it is not the only batch of departures expected. Another group of games is anticipated to leave at the end of the month.
Microsoft typically removes games from the XGP catalog every two weeks. It most recently did so on February 28, when Xbox Game Pass lost nine titles, including Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, and PAW Patrol World.
Another seven games are now set to follow suit later today. The March 15 Xbox Game Pass departures include No More Heroes 3, Evil West, and Solar Ash, as well as Lies of P, and SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated. The forthcoming wave of removals also includes two beloved Sega games: Yakuza 5 and Yakuza 6: The Song of Life.

Back at the end of February 2025, the “Leaving Soon” section of the Xbox Cloud Gaming app also listed MLB The Show 24 as leaving Xbox Game Pass on March 15. However, the game’s mention has since been removed from the app’s list of departures, suggesting that the baseball sim will remain part of Microsoft’s content catalog for a while yet.
Achievement hunters who haven’t yet started any of these soon-to-be-departing games have little hope of finishing any single one of them before they leave Xbox Game Pass. Heart Machine’s 2022 platformer Solar Ash is the shortest of the lot, but a completionist run through it is still estimated to take upwards of nine hours. As per usual, the March 15 departures are expected to be pulled from the Xbox Game Pass catalog around midnight, local time.
