Xbox Game Pass Losing 8 Titles on May 15!

Summary

  • At least eight titles are leaving Xbox Game Pass on May 15.
  • Many of these titles are on the shorter side, so players still have some time to play them before they’re gone.
  • Games leaving Xbox Game Pass on May 15 include Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Chants of Sennaar, Dune: Spice Wars, Planet of Lana, and The Big Con.

On May 15, 2025, it’s been announced that no fewer than eight games will depart from the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. Among them are critically acclaimed games like “Chants of Sennaar” and “Planet of Lana”. Luckily, many of these titles are relatively brief, with some only taking a couple of hours to finish.

Each month, Xbox Game Pass gains fresh games, but some titles exit the service. At the end of April, a total of seven games departed from Xbox Game Pass; these included EA Sports NHL 23, Have a Nice Death, Kona 2: Brume, Sniper Elite 5, The Last Case of Benedict Fox, Thirsty Suitors, and The Rewinder.

Starting May 15th, Microsoft has disclosed that the following Xbox Game Pass titles will no longer be available: Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Chants of Sennaar, Dune: Spice Wars, Hauntii, Jurassic World Evolution 2, Little Kitty, Big City, Planet of Lana, and The Big Con. These games are often praised for their quality, with the puzzle game Chants of Sennaar and platformer Planet of Lana receiving particularly high marks from critics. If you focus solely on the main quest, most of these games can be completed in less than 10 hours, except Dune: Spice Wars, which is a bit lengthier. However, completing all the content in these games might take longer, as Jurassic World Evolution 2 requires around 99 hours for completionists (based on HowLongToBeat). As an alternative, you can purchase these games with a 20% discount before they are removed from the service.

It’s fortunate that Game Pass consistently adds a host of top-tier games each month, with recent additions like “Oblivion Remastered” and “Clair Obscur: Expedition 33” garnering positive response not only within the service but also outside it.

This past week, Xbox Game Pass welcomed games like Towerborne, Far Cry 4, Anno 1800, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. There are several more titles scheduled for the remainder of May, including Dredge and some day-one releases such as Revenge of the Savage Planet and To A T.

The standout Xbox Game Pass release in May is expected to be “DOOM: The Dark Ages”, set for launch on May 15th.
