The adventure game Lost Records: Bloom and Rage is now available to play for Xbox Game Pass subscribers across all membership levels. This brings the total number of games added to the service this year to 211, and it’s the 15th Game Awards 2025 nominee to be included with Xbox Game Pass.
I’ve been really into the new game from the creators of Life is Strange, called Lost Records: Bloom and Rage. It’s an adventure game told in episodes, and it’s a cool mix of a coming-of-age story and a thriller. What’s neat is it jumps between 1995 and 2022. The first part, which they call a ‘tape,’ came out in February 2025 and most critics really liked it – it scored around 75 on OpenCritic. The second tape dropped a couple months later, and while still good (around a 71 on OpenCritic), the reception was a little more mixed. Everyone seems to agree the writing is fantastic, the characters are memorable, and the game has a really captivating vibe. The biggest criticism I’ve seen is that your choices don’t really feel like they change much, and a lot of people found the 1995 storyline way more interesting than what’s happening in the present day.
Lost Records: Bloom and Rage Now Available on 3 Xbox Game Pass Tiers
The game Lost Records: Bloom and Rage is now available on Xbox Game Pass, starting today, December 2nd. Because it wasn’t released on Game Pass on day one, you can play it with a Premium, PC, or Ultimate subscription. It’s the second game added to the service this month, following Marvel Cosmic Invasion which was available on day one on December 1st.
Xbox Game Pass Now Has 15 TGA 2025 Nominees
Throughout 2025, Lost Records: Bloom and Rage became the 211th game added to Xbox Game Pass this year. It’s also the 15th game nominated for The Game Awards 2025 to join the subscription service. The game, nominated for the ‘Games for Impact’ award—which recognizes titles with meaningful social messages—is competing against another Game Pass title, South of Midnight, created by Compulsion Games, a studio owned by Microsoft. The Game Awards 2025 will be held on December 11th. Many expect Clair Obscur: Expedition 33—another Xbox Game Pass game—to be the big winner, having already broken records with 12 nominations in 10 different categories.

Xbox Game Pass Arrivals May Slow Down This Month
Xbox Game Pass subscribers can look forward to three confirmed games in December 2025: Routine, Dome Keeper, and A Game About Digging A Hole. We expect to hear the complete list of games coming in the first wave of December releases later this week, potentially as soon as today, December 2nd. However, based on past trends, the number of new games added throughout the rest of the month will likely decrease, particularly following a strong November that saw 20 new additions.

As a big Xbox Game Pass fan, I’ve been following the news closely, and it sounds like Microsoft might do things a little differently this year. Apparently, instead of announcing the December 2025 games in two separate batches like they usually do, they might reveal all of them at once. But don’t worry, it’s likely they’ll go back to their regular two-part announcement schedule in January 2026. It’s just a temporary change, if it happens at all!
