The recent Xbox Partner Preview event, surprisingly hosted by actor Aaron Paul (known for Breaking Bad and Dispatch), featured 19 games in just 30 minutes. A significant 13 of those games will be available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers on day one. While some think the Game Pass service is expensive, the latest games added definitely seem to be improving the overall quality of the offerings.
The biggest shock of the event wasn’t what was revealed, but what wasn’t. Many viewers were hoping to see the remake of Persona 4 Revival, and the online chat was full of requests for it, but it didn’t appear. Despite this, the showcase was still exciting, featuring seven brand new games and fresh looks at upcoming titles like The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, and it generally kept up a fast pace.
The first game available through the new Xbox Game Pass Preview is Super Meat Boy 3D, launching on March 31st. Hades 2 will follow soon after, arriving on Xbox consoles and as part of Game Pass on April 14th. The rest of the announced games will be available on the service on their release dates, sometime in 2026 or 2027.

Rebellion, the team behind Atomfall, is bringing us Alien Deathstorm, a sci-fi survival horror game set on a dangerous alien planet. It will be available on Xbox Game Pass when it launches in Spring 2027. On the opposite end of the sci-fi genre is Ascend to ZERO, an action roguelike where you manipulate time, all wrapped in a cyberpunk pixel art style. You can play it with Xbox Game Pass starting July 13th. For a completely different experience, there’s Bluey’s Happy Snaps, a family-friendly photography game where you explore locations from the show, photograph Australian animals, and participate in real-life activities. It’s coming to Xbox Game Pass in Fall 2026.
Three upcoming games are set to arrive on Xbox Game Pass. First, The Eternal Life of Goldman, launching in 2026, is a platformer where you play as an elderly man named Goldman on a quest to defeat a powerful deity – and he’s got a trusty cane to help! Then, in Spring 2027, The Expanse: Osiris Reborn will offer an action RPG experience in the universe of The Expanse, putting you in the role of a captain navigating a dangerous solar system. Finally, for a more relaxed experience, Forever Ago, coming in Fall 2026, is a narrative adventure from Annapurna Interactive where you follow Alfred on a road trip, uncovering memories and exploring themes of friendship and lost dreams.
Looking for something lighthearted? Frog Squad is a fun, cooperative game where you and your friends explore sewers to collect food for the Swamp King. It’s coming to Xbox Game Pass in June 2026. For a bit more mystery, check out Grave Seasons, a farming simulator with a dark twist – a serial killer is hiding in town, and their identity changes each time you play. It arrives on Xbox Game Pass on August 14th. And finally, Hades 2, the highly anticipated sequel, needs little introduction and will be available on Xbox Game Pass starting April 14th.
Two new games are coming to Xbox Game Pass. Moosa: Dirty Fate is an action game inspired by titles like Wo Long and Wuchang, and is set in historical Korea. It’s scheduled to release in 2027. Stranger Than Heaven, developed by the creators of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series, is a brand new experience. While it has a similar look to the Like a Dragon games, it’s a completely separate title where players will journey through five different cities and time periods. A special Xbox broadcast on May 6th will reveal more details about Stranger Than Heaven.
Completing the new games coming to Xbox Game Pass are Super Meat Boy 3D, a tough but fun platformer available starting March 31st, and Wuthering Waves, a free-to-play, open-world RPG with special content just for Game Pass members. This is just a preview of what’s coming, but it looks like a great selection for subscribers.
