The Xbox Game Pass Standard library now includes the games Octopath Traveler 2 and Train Sim World 5. In addition, at least two other games will be added to the Xbox Game Pass Standard collection in March 2025.
Microsoft’s weekly subscription service frequently introduces new games, but updates to its Standard tier occur less often. The game “Galacticare” was the first to join Xbox Game Pass in March 2025, having been accessible since May 2024 on higher subscription tiers. Following shortly after on March 11 was “Enter the Gungeon.
On March 19, two additional games, “Train Sim World 5” and “Octopath Traveler 2”, joined the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. “Train Sim World 5” has been accessible to PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers since September 2024, while “Octopath Traveler 2” had a three-month head start on the service. Both games have received numerous positive reviews on Steam, with “Octopath Traveler 2” also earning a 4.6-star rating from players on the Xbox Store and “Train Sim World 5” garnering a 3-star user score on Microsoft’s storefront.

In March 2025, “Train Sim World 5” and “Octopath Traveler 2” will kick off the second wave of releases for Xbox Game Pass. At least two additional games are set to join the roster before the end of the month, with “Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island” expected on March 20th and “Blizzard Arcade Collection” scheduled for arrival on March 25th. In total, Xbox Game Pass Standard will receive seven new games this month, making it slightly fewer than the eight titles added to the subscription tier in February 2025.
The upcoming collection of XGP Standard games is slated to be unveiled together with the Xbox Game Pass April 2025 Wave 1 selection, potentially on April 1st due to Microsoft’s past patterns of making such announcements on Tuesdays. Until then, additional titles will join other tiers of the Xbox Game Pass service by the end of March, with six more games in total. Among them, three – Tunic, Batman: Arkham Knight, and Monster Sanctuary – are planned to debut on the base tier of the service on March 26th. Atomfall will be available on XGP Ultimate and PC Game Pass on March 27th, a day after its release.
