Xbox Game Pass Subscribers Can Play 4 Games for Free for a Limited Time

As a Game Pass member, I’m excited that Xbox is letting us try out a few games for free! They’ve added some titles we can download and play until February 15th. It’s part of their ‘Free Play Days’ program, where they regularly add new games for us to check out each week, which is awesome!

Xbox Game Pass has been a key part of Microsoft’s gaming plans since it launched in June 2017. This subscription service lets players access a wide variety of Xbox games. In 2023, it replaced Xbox Live Gold, which used to be required for playing most games online. Game Pass keeps players subscribed with a regularly updated library of games, and especially by releasing major new titles on the service from day one. Upcoming games like Fable and Forza Horizon 6 will be available on Game Pass when they launch.

Xbox is offering four games for free play until February 15th! All Xbox players can try out NHL 26 and Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream as part of Free Play Days. To play Lynked: Banner of the Spark and Age of Wonders 4, you’ll need an Xbox Game Pass membership – but good news, they’re available to members of all Game Pass tiers, so every subscriber has something new to enjoy.

As a huge hockey fan, I’m really excited about NHL 26! It just came out at the end of 2025 and it’s the newest game in the EA NHL series. They’ve made a lot of cool improvements, especially with how the game is updated after release. Plus, the Ice-Q 2.0 system is way better now – it uses real NHL data to track stats and player performance, which is awesome. And if you’re into career mode like me, they’ve totally revamped Be A Pro, making it a much more immersive experience.

Released in May 2023, Age of Wonders 4 is a popular 4X strategy game developed by Triumph Studios, set in a high fantasy world. It’s been nearly a decade since the previous installment, Age of Wonders 3, and this new version features significant improvements to the challenging yet rewarding turn-based combat. Since launch, the game has been consistently updated with expansions and new content, and even more additions are planned for release through the first half of 2026, making it an excellent time to jump in and play.

I’ve been checking out a couple of new games that came out this year, and they’re pretty cool! First up is Lynked: Banner of the Spark, a roguelite where you explore dangerous dungeons full of robots, then head back to town to help rebuild. It’s got that life-sim vibe mixed in, which is neat. I also jumped into Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream. It’s a huge RPG set in the SAO universe, but with a twist. You can play through a massive single-player story, or team up with up to 20 other players online for some seriously epic raids. As a fan of the series, it’s awesome getting to play alongside my favorite characters! Xbox has a ton of new stuff coming out, so February is looking packed with games to play.
