Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can now play *Little Rocket Lab* and *SOPA – Tale of the Stolen Potato*. These two games are the first to be added to the service on day one in October 2025, bringing the total number of games added to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate this year to 172.
SOPA: Tale of the Stolen Potato is a charming 3D adventure game for families, set in a magical South American world. The creators took inspiration from stories like The Little Prince, and popular animated films such as Coco and Spirited Away. StudioBando announced in late 2023 that the game would be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. Originally planned for release in the second quarter of 2024, the game has faced several delays, most recently missing its scheduled August 2025 launch.
Little Rocket Lab and SOPA Join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate
Today, October 7th, the highly anticipated game *SOPA – Tale of the Stolen Potato* became available on PC, consoles, and Xbox Game Pass. Joining it as a day-one addition to the service is *Little Rocket Lab*, a factory automation game from Teenage Astronauts that also includes life simulation and RPG elements like quests and character relationships. Though the gameplay is different, both *Little Rocket Lab* and *SOPA* share a similar relaxing and inviting atmosphere, making them appealing to fans of cozy games.
In October 2025, Microsoft is adding *SOPA* and *Little Rocket Lab* to its subscription service. While these games would usually be among the first additions each month, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate recently received a huge update with 48 new titles on October 1st. Most of these games are older titles from Ubisoft, normally available through the Ubisoft+ Classics subscription, which was added to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate alongside a price increase to $29.99 – a 50% jump. This change upset many fans, leading to so many cancellations that the cancellation website struggled to handle the traffic and frequently crashed throughout the day.
When Will SOPA and Little Rocket Lab Come to Xbox Game Pass Premium?
Xbox Game Pass recently got more expensive and now has new membership options. The new tiers are called Essential and Premium, replacing the old Core and Standard plans. While new games aren’t available on release day for either tier, Microsoft says they’ll add them to the Premium tier within a year of their launch. This means games like *SOPA* and *Little Rocket Lab* should be available on Xbox Game Pass Premium by early October 2026.
