Xbox Game Pass had a great November, with new games like Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, The Crew: Motorfest, Kill It With Fire! 2, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, and Monsters Are Coming! Rock & Road added to the service. December is off to a strong start too, with Marvel: Cosmic Invasion arriving on December 1st and Lost Records: Bloom & Rage joining on December 2nd.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers have six new games to look forward to before December 11, including the incredibly popular fighting game, Mortal Kombat 1. Coming to the service on December 10, this 2023 reboot from NetherRealm Studios has been a huge success, boasting a strong Story Mode and a competitive online community. With a critic recommendation rate of 87% on OpenCritic and over 6.2 million copies sold, it’s already outselling Street Fighter 6 as the biggest fighting game of this console generation. Now, Game Pass Ultimate members who haven’t played it yet will have the chance to experience Mortal Kombat 1.
This December, on the 9th, the unique indie game A Game About Digging a Hole will be released. It’s a simple simulation where you dig a hole in your backyard, searching for valuable ores. As you dig deeper, the game takes on a mysterious and slightly unsettling tone. It’s become popular thanks to several well-known streamers. Originally released in February by DoubleBee, A Game About Digging a Hole has been a hit on Steam, with a 96% positive rating and over a million copies sold.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is getting several new additions soon! On December 4th, you can play the sci-fi horror game Routine, a day-one release for Game Pass subscribers. Death Howl and Dome Keeper will be available starting December 9th, followed by Bratz: Rhythm and Style on December 11th. Death Howl is a new RPG and card game from 11 Bit Studios, the creators of The Alters and Frostpunk. Dome Keeper, a tower defense game from 2022, is also joining the lineup. Finally, Bratz: Rhythm and Style lets you travel the world with the Bratz dolls and create unique outfits for them.

Mortal Kombat 11, the adventure game Still Wakes the Deep, and the deck-building roguelike Wildfrost will all be removed on December 15th. Then, on December 31st, players will lose access to the horror game Carrion and the multiplayer shooter Hell Let Loose, so be sure to finish playing them before then.
