Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Drops Psychedelic Hit Tempopo and Gruesome Crime Scene Cleaner Today

Summary

  • Xbox Game Pass Ultimate added Tempopo and Crime Scene Cleaner on April 17.
  • Tempopo is a colorful adventure game with puzzle-solving and creature-collection mechanics, as well as a soundtrack from BAFTA award-winning composer Jeff van Dyck.
  • Crime Scene Cleaner presently holds “Overwhelmingly Positive” Steam reviews on account of its addictive gameplay loop and macabre premise.

Starting today, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can dive into playing ‘Tempopo’ and ‘Crime Scene Cleaner’, which are now included in their subscriptions. Over the past few days, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has welcomed ten new games to its library since early April 2025.

The vibrant game Tempopo is referred to as a “psychadelic skyscape of sounds,” featuring an exciting blend of puzzle-solving and creature collecting mechanics. Your mission in this game is to explore diverse themed islands, using your problem-solving skills to unlock the way to save enchanting musical flowers. These saved flowers are then added to your personal garden, each one possessing a unique melody that can be combined to create a one-of-a-kind musical performance. Given the significant role of music in the game’s essence, Witch Beam collaborated with BAFTA award-winning composer Jeff van Dyck on the creation of Tempopo‘s soundtrack.

On April 17th, the psychedelic video game titled Tempopo was officially made available for both PC and gaming consoles at 12pm Eastern Time. Subscribers of PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate can enjoy playing Tempopo on its release day, as part of their subscriptions. Simultaneously, Crime Scene Cleaner, a game with a darker theme and an easily understandable name, was added to Microsoft’s subscription service. Crime Scene Cleaner first appeared in August 2024 and has garnered close to 20,000 positive user reviews on Steam, with many praising its captivating gameplay mechanics and grim concept.

When Will Tempopo and Crime Scene Cleaner Reach Xbox Game Pass Standard?

Since July 2024, the PC version of “Crime Scene Cleaner” has been playable, but its version for Xbox Series X/S wasn’t released until April 17, making it a day-one addition to the Xbox Game Pass (XGP). At present, the game isn’t accessible through the standard XGP subscription, similar to “Tempopo”. Following Microsoft’s recent changes in their subscription tiers, new day-one games have been exclusive to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass for at least half a year before moving to the Standard tier library. Given this pattern, it’s likely that both “Tempopo” and “Crime Scene Cleaner” won’t become available for Xbox Game Pass Standard subscribers until at least October 2025.

As I eagerly await, I’ve been hearing whispers about the long-anticipated remaster of “The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion.” It seems like it might sneakily appear on Xbox Game Pass as early as Monday, April 21st. Although several leaks have confirmed this date, details regarding the extent of the remaster remain vague. Some initial chatter suggested it could be a complete overhaul, built upon the powerful Unreal Engine 5.
