Xbox Game Pass Update Adds 4 Games You Can Play Today

As a seasoned gamer who has witnessed the evolution of the gaming industry since the days of 8-bit consoles, I must say that the recent addition of four new games to the Xbox Game Pass is a welcome change. Having played my fair share of JRPGs and co-op games over the years, I’m particularly excited about the arrival of Legend of Mana, Trials of Mana, and All You Need Is Help.

In connection with its Tokyo Game Show 2024 festivities, Microsoft is revealing four titles that will be added to their Xbox Game Pass subscription service this very day. Despite not having as strong a presence in Japan as its rivals, Microsoft has consistently made efforts to penetrate the Japanese market and Asian regions at large. Back during the Xbox 360 era, they secured several big-name JRPG exclusives, and have since been working diligently to bring some of Japan’s top gaming creations to both Xbox consoles and their Game Pass service.

In the past, and even now, different iterations of “Final Fantasy” and the “Yakuza” series have been included in Xbox Game Pass. Since Xbox Game Pass is crucial to Microsoft’s current game plan, they strive to keep it stocked with numerous gaming options.

For your convenience, Microsoft is enriching the Xbox Game Pass selection today by incorporating four additional games. The newly added games are the cooperative title “All You Need Is Help”, “Legend of Mana”, “Trials of Mana”, and “We Love Katamari Reroll+ Royal Reverie”. Among these, the “Mana” games might be more recognizable, but “All You Need Is Help” could attract attention due to its status as a day one game and its feature that allows local multiplayer.

New Xbox Game Pass Games Added Today

  • All You Need Is Help
  • Legend of Mana
  • Trials of Mana
  • We Love Katamari Reroll+ Royal Reverie

14 new Xbox Game Pass games have been added in September 2024, making it an important update as this month was previously lacking in offerings for the service. This is unusual because, until now, more games were typically leaving Xbox Game Pass than joining, though that’s no longer the case. With the Tokyo Game Show additions, we now have an equal number of games being added (14) and removed from Xbox Game Pass in September 2024.

As of now, the outlook for October 2024 on Xbox Game Pass seems less promising compared to September. At present, only one game, “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6”, has been confirmed for October. Although this is a highly anticipated new release, it’s unfortunate that there aren’t many exciting additions for subscribers to look forward to in October so far. For the time being, Xbox Game Pass subscribers might want to explore the games added in September while awaiting further updates about October’s offerings.
