Xbox Play Anywhere Games List Could Be Expanding Soon

Fans think five games might soon be added to Xbox Play Anywhere. The list includes the well-known Baldur’s Gate 3, along with four other Xbox games, but it’s not yet confirmed if this information is correct.

Xbox Play Anywhere launched in 2016 with the Xbox One, but it took some time to become popular. It lets players enjoy games they’ve purchased from the Microsoft Store on their Xbox, PC, and certain handheld devices, and they can carry their progress, downloadable content, and achievements between platforms. Not every Xbox game supports Play Anywhere, but there are currently over 1,000 titles available through the program.

A Reddit user thinks they’ve found out which five games might soon be added to Xbox Play Anywhere. They noticed that when filtering for Xbox Series X/S and handheld games on the Xbox website, five titles appeared that aren’t currently listed: *Baldur’s Gate 3*, *Mortal Kombat 1*, *Oddsparks*, *Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2*, and *Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon*. The biggest news is likely *Baldur’s Gate 3*, the 2023 Game of the Year winner from Larian Studios, which has already sold over 15 million copies.

Games That May Be Coming to Xbox Play Anywhere

  • Baldur’s Gate 3
  • Mortal Kombat 1
  • Oddsparks
  • Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2
  • Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon

A fan recently discovered a list of games that might come to Xbox, but it’s not confirmed. The Xbox Store no longer shows all five games being available on handheld devices. Still, it would make sense for Microsoft to release more games that work on Xbox Play Anywhere, especially with the new ROG Ally handheld – which was advertised with *Baldur’s Gate 3* – making the rumor seem more likely. It’s best to remember this is just a rumor for now, though.

Beyond the Play Anywhere program, Microsoft has been heavily invested in letting players stream their own games this year. In June, Xbox added 15 games to this service, including popular titles like *Final Fantasy 16*, *My Time at Sandrock*, *Nier: Automata*, and *Valheim*. While it’s still unclear if Microsoft’s efforts to expand game streaming and platform availability will pay off, the company is clearly committed to reaching players in any way possible.
