Xbox To Get A New Game From “Legendary” Japanese Franchise

2025 is expected to see the release of a new game from an iconic Japanese series on Xbox, as suggested by a recent report by Jez Corden of Windows Central. This intriguing game is rumored to make its debut during Xbox’s upcoming Developer Direct event.

Although Corden didn’t reveal any specifics about the potential game, he did mention that it carries “a rich history spanning over several decades.

He mentioned that the information suggests it’s a fresh addition to a revered Japanese intellectual property with a rich history spanning over several decades. This new entry is expected to bring joy to many devoted fans.

He added: “In fact, Microsoft has been receiving substantial backing from the region recently, particularly from studios such as Square Enix (Final Fantasy), HoYoverse (Genshin Impact), and Sega/ATLUS (Persona). We anticipate that this upcoming game will contribute to this growing momentum.

Beyond the undisclosed Japanese game title, the Xbox Developer Direct event on January 23 is set to showcase previews for titles such as South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and DOOM: The Dark Ages.
