When Is YAPYAP Coming Out? Release Date, Explained
February 3 is the confirmed release date for YAPYAP, and it follows the success of the demo.
YAPYAP has been available as a free demo on Steam for some time, letting players experience its chaotic co-op gameplay. Now, after a period of testing, the full game is officially launching!
The official announcement arrived on January 19, when Maison Bap had a message for Steam:
Great news! YAPYAP is officially launching on February 3rd! We want to thank everyone who played the demo – your feedback was incredibly helpful. We used it to improve the game in many ways, polishing systems, fixing bugs, and adding more of the features you enjoyed.
What Is YAPYAP?
Okay, so I just checked out Maison Bap’s YAPYAP, and it’s a multiplayer game where you and your friends have to work together. It’s got a horror vibe, but it’s also surprisingly goofy and fun – basically another solid co-op game to play online with buddies.
You can enjoy YAPYAP solo, but it’s much more fun with friends – a little friendly yelling is part of the experience! Games like Among Us and Lethal Company have made this type of cooperative online gameplay popular, where players team up to explore a place, collect items or record data, and then try to escape while dodging dangers.
YAPYAP lets you cast spells simply by speaking them into your microphone. You can launch magical projectiles, shrink your friends, use crystal balls for navigation, and even fly around the castle!
Imagine Harry Potter, but with Harry, Hermione, and Ron stuck as mischievous kids who are determined to create chaos.
