Yet Another Game is Confirmed to Be Leaving PS Plus in December 2025

One more game is being removed from PlayStation Plus in December 2025, making a total of 10 games leaving the service. This affects players who have PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium subscriptions.

In 2022, PlayStation expanded PS Plus with Extra and Premium tiers, offering players a library of games that changes regularly – similar to Xbox Game Pass. While this provides a constantly updated selection of titles, it also means games are occasionally removed from the service.

11-11: Memories Retold Being Removed From PS Plus

In December, the game 11-11: Memories Retold will no longer be available on PS Plus. Published by Bandai Namco in 2018, this story-focused game puts you in the shoes of two soldiers during World War I. You’ll play as Harry, a Canadian photographer played by Elijah Wood, who documents the war on the Western Front. You’ll also experience the war through the eyes of Kurt, a German engineer voiced by Sebastian Koch, who enlists after his son goes missing. The game unfolds through quests that reveal each character’s journey, and their stories eventually connect.

Critics gave the game a respectable score of 77 on Metacritic, and players rated it 7.3. Its unique watercolor art style offers a new look for story-driven games, though some players might need a little time to adjust to it. What really captivated players was the touching story about two soldiers. If you’re a PS Plus member who enjoys narrative games like Life is Strange, 11-11: Memories Retold is worth checking out before it’s removed from the service on December 16th.

Several popular games, including Grand Theft Auto 3 – The Definitive Edition, Sonic Frontiers, and Battlefield 2042, are being taken off of PS Plus. Battlefield 2042 had a difficult launch, but saw a resurgence in players earlier this year before the upcoming release of Battlefield 6 in October. Sonic Frontiers was the first open-world Sonic the Hedgehog game, and although critics had mixed opinions, players generally enjoyed it as one of the best 3D Sonic games.

It’s always disappointing when games leave subscription services, but PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members have plenty to enjoy this November and December. Recently, Grand Theft Auto 5 was added, and on December 2nd, Red Dead Redemption will become available to PS Plus Extra subscribers, coinciding with its release on current-generation consoles.
