I’m a big fan of mini-games, and Playtonic really went above and beyond in Yooka-Replaylee by including Rextro’s arcade games. It’s already a fantastic game, but you can also enjoy a surprisingly good retro-style platformer within certain parts – how cool is that?

Plus, playing Rextro games is a fantastic way to collect more Pagies! You can earn three Pagies for each of the eight Rextro levels, which adds up to a possible 24 extra Pagies just by having fun with these quick challenges.

Hold on a second! Rextro requires an entry fee to play his games. To get started, you’ll need to find a Play Token in each level and give it to Rextro.

You’ll need to find five tokens, and they can be tricky to spot. If you’re struggling to find them, I’m happy to help. Just so you know, I won’t tell you exactly where the arcade machines are – the tokens are always right nearby, so you can’t miss them!

Don’t forget to find the arcade inside Hivory Towers, which is between the second and third floors. Playing the arcade games with the Play Tokens you collect will unlock more levels, helping you earn all 24 Pagies from the Rextro challenges. Completing all the Rextro levels will also award you three trophies.

#1 – Tribalstack Tropics

To get your first Rextro Play Token, go to the location marked on the map. While you’re there, also check the bottom of the dry moat nearby.

Once at the bottom of this pit, you’ll spot a very obvious looking hole in the wall.

Go down this hole to find a token, and you’ll also get some extra quills. Then, take the token to the arcade cabinet, which is located at the top of the moat.

#2 – Glitterglaze Glacier

This token is the hardest to find in the game. You can enter the Icymetric Palace at the location marked on the map.

Once you’re inside, just follow the clear paths until you defeat the palace boss. After the fight, the ice blocking some areas will melt, opening up new routes. Head to the room with spikes falling from the ceiling, and then take the door on your left at the end of it.

You can find Rextro’s secret hideout inside the palace. It’s located behind a door at the back of the room on the first floor.

This room contains many tokens, but only one is genuine. Just kick each coin until you discover the right one.

#3 – Moodymaze Marsh

This is really easy! Find the lake on the map, go into the water, and swim to the spot marked there.

Here, you’ll find a crate you can attack to break open, which is holding your next play token.

#4 – Capital Cashino

You already know what to do. Go to the area marked above to get your Capital Cashino token.

Next to Rextro’s arcade game, there’s a small red slot machine. Use the buttons on the front to play Buddy Slam and try to get three Yooka-Laylee symbols in a row. If you do, a token will come out that you can take.

#5 – Galleon Galaxy

Finally, there’s Galleon Galaxy. Search for the island on the west side of the map – it’s shaped like an ‘X’, hinting at where to find what you’re looking for.

You’ll see a shadow marking the spot on the ground. Don’t dig, though! Instead, you need to pop the balloon hanging above. When it bursts, it will release the final Rextro token from the treasure chest. The easiest way to reach the balloon is by using a cloud box nearby – these let you fly for a short time. Fly up and attack the balloon to pop it.
